Calling All Dog Lovers!

I thought it would be fun to see how many different types of dogs people on here have. I wonder which ones will be most popular...Labs, Golden Retrievers,??? Does anyone have any of the new breeds, like a Puggle? Tell us why you love your dog and if you would reccommend them to others.

I have a seven year old Irish Setter named Ember. She is so beautiful and has been the best family dog ever since we got her back in 1998. She has grown up with my boys and they absolutely adore her.
A unique fact about Ember is that most setters need a good fence, but Ember stays in the front yard with the kids, never even runs in the road. She does chase the occasional squirel or bird into the neighbors yards, but they love her too.
She's just a great girl!!!

Oh, oh...my 5 year old does a great impersonation of a cat. She can even hiss like a cat.

I have a black lab and a golden. Well actually they are both black lab/golden mixes - one looks like a golden, that would be the female Maizie and the other looks like a black lab. He's the male - Marley. Both of them have personalities of their own and are just the greatest dogs ever. Marley thinks he is a 10 pound poodle when he actually weighs about 115lbs! He's a big loveable goof! Maizie is very independent and is cuddly on her terms. She's my baby! She's the big bird hunter and has a nose on her that won;t quit. I would post a picture of them but the last time I tried the pictures wouldn't show up. Oh well. I love hearing about everyones dogs! As you can tell I am a big time dog lover....

Aww, how cute. You all have cute dogs!! I have a soon to be 2 (in April) pug, Skyla. She is the best dog I have ever had! And then a year old beagle/jack russell terrier mix named Whisky. I love him to death, he is just very whiney.

Big time dog lover here!

Red is a 3 yr old rescue - probably spaniel/terrier cross of some type. She looks like a miniature golden retriever. We got her when she was 7 months old.

Blue is a 1 yr old PB australian shepherd (aussie) who we've had since 12 weeks and believe me, she's still ALL puppy. She's a brat sometimes but what a spunky little dog she's turning out to be.

They are fantastic dogs - and noone in our immediate and extended families have ever really liked dogs until we got these two.

Here's my two babies:

Matt, my DH, on the left and Shadow, our baby, on the right. He's now about 80+ pounds, but I don't have any current pictures developed yet. (Yes, we still use a 35 mm camera -- ) Shadow is half Great Pyrenees and half Border Collie.
