Re: Finding drunks in a bar -- what are the chances?
Okay, again I say, they went to 36 bars and only arrested 30 people! That's not even one from each bar. I doubt if they're grabbing social drinkers who are just drinking enough to be "feeling good".
One day we drove across the American/Canadian border and around the corner and there was this dirty old man staggering all over the sidewalk with the front of his pants pissed on. Now I don't know, but I'd say he was publicly intoxicated! I can sometimes look at someone anymore and tell if they're just too damn drunk to function.
Some people just look shitfaced when they're drunk! Some stagger, some slur their words. My grandfather did all of the above and once fell off his own back porch and broke his ribs. One really cool thing that happened when I was a kid though was the time my dad was too drunk to walk from the car to the house. I slammed the car door on his hand and he was too drunk to remember how his hand got hurt the next day!
Yeahhh, chalk one up for the kid!
