I think that's it. The eye's are different than the prairie dog, but very similar in that last pic, MOG.

        I vote ground squirrel.

Yes I'm eating a smore in the picture, how do you think I got so fat?

Maybe it's a thirteen stripe that has had some hair coloring done..They are pretty smart. I heard they get their hair tinted sometimes so they won't look like merecats.

It does look like the squirrels that run around on top of my fence in the yard. I have never gotten the opportunity to see him standing though.

Will you take a 13 striped squirrel with a hair dye job instead?

                            Cute squirrel MOG!

Most critters are welcome in my yard. Although I adore snakes, I don't think a rattler in the yard with all the critters and my kids would be good. And the bobcat that is wandering around in the area we live in... he needs to go away.

We had a bob cat in our neighborhood a couple of years ago! I live in the friggin city! He was beautiful, but I kept worrying that he was gonna make a snack out of Gizmo! Thank goodness that the rattler's in NC tend to stay up in the mountains (about 3-4 hours from here!) We do have water moccasins and copperheads though, oh yea and black widow spiders are quite abundant! Those things can stay away..I guess I should say that "most" critters are welcome in my yard, not 'all"!
