I am curious and really am trying to justify an bit of an expensive gift to myself ....I figure I save a ton of money buy the fact my work supplies and launders my scrubs ......all I buy is shoes at about $160/year ...
I feel selfish wanting to spend this money when I know there are much more sensible things I can do with it!!...but I am tired of being sensible with money all the time and really want to do this ...
what I want to do is hire someone to come and put a small waterfall that I will surround with native plants on the hill beside my house the hill is steep and perfect I think..the waterfall will wind and flow down into my garden where I will install a small pond to catch and direct the water for irrigation to my eventual flower garden...there I will have a huge clawfoot tub with hot and cold water.(yes outside in the garden)..so I can sit in it after work by the waterfall and look out at the Puget Sound in the evenings when I get off work.....(we have a spring behind the house that can naturally feed the waterfall)....is this insane? because I really want to do this ....
Clothing costs a lot of money and I imagine for those of you who have to dress every day to go to work the bills can be pretty much up there....even if you don't have to "dress" ..jeans, tshirts, socks all of that costs quite a bit to keep up... so I figure if I know approximately what people usually spend on work clothing per year ...I can make myself and my husband feel better about doing this ...since currently there are no other options for justification I wanted to try this one

I have this huge guilt that there are sooo many better things to do with money ...like donate to a food bank or buy a door or window for this house...or something for the kids.....but sometimes I want something!!! I work my assss off!!!!
