WHAT? Heidi likes the smell of gasoline? But she doesn't like to pump it?

Mog, yeah they are VERY pricey there...but the place is GORGEOUS. They are here in Tampa. I love to go over and sniff my way through the gardens...maybe i'll do that Saturday.

Of course, some of mine are absolutely GORGEOUS this year. I've got one tree that has 6 bloom spikes open right now. It's stunning.

I have one plant I bought from Exotic Plumeria. It's called Kimo and its orange and pink. Mine hasn't bloomed yet, and I've had it for going on 3 years

When I was livining in Hawaii I learned the trick to starting them! All you do is chop off an end of the branch about 12 inches long and stick it in dirt and root it! That's how they sell them in Hawaii to the tourists, a 12 inch stick in a plastic bag! They do wax over the cut end so that they can bag them and sell them in the souvinier stores. I had one for years that I grew from one. And it bloomed every year! I don't remember now how I ended up killing the poor thing.

I envy you getting to walk around and "sniff"! Wish I was there!

I actually went back and I didn't see any post on this thread by Heidi, either Rich was mistaken, or she sent that info to him in a pm and he spilled the beans!

Hey Joy, look how cheap the cuttings are here

                      http://www.plumeria.info/default.aspx

Of course they don't have nearly the selection as your place, but still, I can afford 15 dollars! Maybe I'll order one!

                        Lilacs

Clean laundry - specifically whites after they've been bleached and fresh out of the dryer

The Eastern Sierra Mountains - they really have their own special smell

                        The ocean

Scents that remind me of autumn like apples and cinnamon

                        Newly mowed lawns

I've seen that site Mog and have thought about getting some from them. I want some different colors...I've got several white/yellows, a hot pink/orange, a pale pink, a regular pink, the orange that hasn't bloomed yet LOL. Oh, and a Key West Red. I want some more of the hot pink/reds...or one of those candy stripe ones...

There's a guy at another nursery here who has them sometimes...I need to drive down and see what he's got. Then I can try to get him to come down on the price LOL

Oh that Key West one is beautiful! You're lucky to have all of those! I'm jealous! But here, I'd have to keep them in pots and find room in the house for them in the winter! One would be plenty!
