Re: Do you believe in Ghosts?

    cool thread..
i dont want to believe but i cant help it,,,ive had a couple experiences...at my moms house there is a light in the hall way that comes on for no reason, when i was growing up i would hate to go t the bath room because i would walk threw the hall way and the light would be off go to the bath room turn around and the light in the hall would be on..drove me nuts.

i was engaged years ago and sadly she killed herself,,years later i was getting close to a new girl we were talking about living together one morning wile half asleep i was visited by my x all she said was ,,,,shannon its ok,im not upset i woke up trowing the covers off me in a panic and her perfume filled the room,,,i cried but had a feling of ease..

now me and my new fieance stayed at the myrtles plantation last year and got these pics..i was standing in the same spot and toook 3 pics ina a row,,you can see something moving threw the pic,,,now nothing was infront of me what ever it is absorbs the entire flash but in the third pic you can see the flash lights up the back of the care takers cottage that i was trying to get in the first place.....with 4 people next to me no one saw anything it only showed up in the camera view window.

    first pic

    second pic

3rd pic,,,all with in 5 seconds of each other

this one looks like a face in the window,,,when i took the pic we seen it in the reflection it was kinda creepy.

and hahah this is my brave gf,,,hiding from the tapping noise we heard in our room

we went back again a month ago but didnt get any pic to talk about,,,but the toilet seat in our room hahah she went to the bath room and walked out,,i went into the br after her and the seat was up,,,we all know how you women are so when i asked her about it she was freaked out because she knows she didnt raise the toilet seat ,,,that and at 3am we were taking pics in the coat yard i went to my truck to get our laptop and found my truck door wide open with the doors locked,,and it was my back passanger door...so it wasnt like i forgot to close my door after getting out of the truck..crazy but fun

Re: Do you believe in Ghosts?

OMG - reading this thread has reminded me of so many paranormal things I've experienced - ranging from my own psychokinetic and telepathic episodes, friends (and friends' close relatives deaths following taro readings, ouigi board use, and psychic feelings, events told me by a fortune teller happening (and knowledge of which saved my life), psychic dreams saving my life, seeing and being pulled on by nether spirits, many, many things during the 6 months following my sister's suicide, seeing my deceased grandparents...

I've learned to keep it turned off most of the time, though subconsciously my telepathy catches me by surprise, but I do pray and have been protected by the good light, and I pray to keep the demons away. I vowed years ago never to read card or use ouigi board again, though I sometimes use seance to call my sister.

I have a picture somewhere of her spirit shooting over her gravesite, but cannot find it today. If it shows up I'll post it.

IF you ghost hunt, just keep this in mind: always ask permission before going to a property. You want to avoid situations like this:

On location I do not allow Ouija boards or similar items (It goes against my protocols). Im very careful of how I wish things to run.

Some of these places I go into have huge activity reputations, In the past I have had a nip on my arm then when I looked there was a small scratch.
Good to know. I was interested on how protection was asked for before entering. There's such sacred places on this planet and it all seems like a saddening experience, jumpy and exciting, but for the most part sad.

Thanks for sharing your job with us. It's good to know you have respect (in my personal opinion) for the deceased by not using the boards and such. I learned that respect a long time ago the hard way.

Other than the little bit of occurances I've had I really don't know anything about this business but it is completely facinating me. I'm just curious, other that protocal reasons, why don't you allow a Quija board. What do you think might happen? or have you had bad experiences with them in the past?

Re: Do you believe in Ghosts?

Phoenix. A few things happened in phoenix. At the house we lived in when I was in high school - I came home late one night from partying - my sister was up watching TV (we shared a room)asked if I was going to watch too and I said I was tired and going to bed - I slept on my back with my arm tossed over my eyes - I got the feeling someone was watching me - I moved my arm and looked above me and there was a man who looked a bit like Grizzly Adams floating above me - he had on a black and red pladd shirt - I was up and out of my room in seconds flat. I told my sister I decided to watch TV and did not mention what I saw. I mean hey I was out drinking - lol
Fast forward to a family gathering at a different house - the topic of Ghosts comes up - I mention what I saw and laugh it off - my sister turns to my Mom and says something like "you told her" - turns out, my sister saw the same thing right down to the same shirt. Creepy. Same with the house on Long Island - every one of us kids saw something.
Then I was living with DH and in the apartment behind us at 3 in the morning or so it sounded like the people where moving furniture - loudly. I blew it off and tried to go back to sleep - after this going on for a few days I went to the manager to file a complaint (DH never heard a thing and slept right thru it all) - the manager said I wasn't the first to complain but that that apartment was empty. No one lived there.

Then one afternoon after work I was taking a nap on the couch - I hear the key in the door - sit up, DH walks in, I said hi - he looked at me, didn't say anything and walked down the hall to our bedroom. I layed back down to finish my nap. Some time passes - I hear the key in the door - I'm thinking WTF I know DH is in the bedroom because I didn't fall back to sleep - well to my surprise - DH walks in the door, looks at me and walks down the hall to our bedroom. OMG. He came home, but it wasn't him and then came home!

Still living in the same place - I had surgery on my hand and slept with it on a pillow at my side. I woke up with the pillow over my head being pushed on my face - I was pi ssed beyond belief and reached up and ripped the pillow from my face, it was a struggle, someone was holding it down - its good thing I was so pi ssed off and I saw something that to this day I do not know wtf it was. It wasn't solid - it was almost not there, but I saw it (ok so now you guys think I'm a wack job lol) and it was evil. It looked at me and Then it vanished. I started lighting white candles and asking for protection before going to bed at night.

Thats all for now - I'm home alone

Re: Do you believe in Ghosts?

This is not a Ghost story. From the time I was little, I was always super-sensitive to scary true stories- remember that series by Leonard Nimoy. And then there was a babysitter who watched the bw B versions of the mummy and Dracula- just so scary- I think I was three. Our old house had steam heat, so lots of natural clinks and clanks to keep a scared little one awake. I had lots of stress and anxiety related to school and so I had a difficult time sleeping until my mom bribed me with a reward system when I was nine. I always had the feeling something was in my room, and I slept with a lamp on. It was always just a feeling until one day I saw something pop up on the wall side of the bed. I screamed and my mom said it was a cat. Noo, it was dark and slimy with big eyes. I always had that watched feeling at night, and it got stronger when we moved to a new country house. But I never saw it again. UNTIL, my DH cajoled me into watching Communion, the movie about Whitney Strieber- and there it was- the hair on my neck stood on end- but it was a relief to know someone else saw it. I was sleepless and stressed for days until I said out loud "I don't know what is going on, and I don't care, but I don't ever want to know." No more watched feelings until the birth of my kids, and again I said "I don't know, I don't care, but leave them alone!" I still get those feelings, not as strong, but I definitely get up to check on DD and DS.
Do I believe in Ghosts? Do I believe in Aliens? Yes. No. Maybe. I love the episodes of Sci Fi's Ghosthunters where they disprove the hauntings as much as the ones where there are ghosts.
If I don't believe in ghosts, do I not believe in God...and Santa Claus? If I do believe in one, do I have to believe in the others? Do I take the stories of others as my guide? If I believe in my little raisin alien, do I have to believe in the scarier ones? If I believe in the ghost who comforts his wife, what about the one who nearly smothered Ladyhawke? What kind of God should I believe in... one based on my experiences, or should I take the opinions of others and follow their guide? Is seeing believing...and is believing seeing?
                  Here's the ADBB connection:
Y'all see my restart? 60lbs gone, 50lbs on? I've read the book, I've joined the board, I believe, I know ATKINS works. Am I there yet? Am I putting my faith in something that is based on the opinions of others and following their guide? Am I visualizing a future "ghost " of myself?
I think this is why I love ADBB, and I love ghost stories. It's all a huge leap- for some its scientific, for others a mindset. Yes. No. Maybe. I love applying the science of Atkins to the will of my body.

Ouija boards....many investigators think they are doorways that allow bad spirits/entities to pass into our realm. So unless you have someone who knows how to use them safely, they're not a good idea.

At my sister's college, a couple girls worked the Ouija board in their dorm room. According to Beth, strange things started happening in that room: things would disappear and reappear in different places; if they emptied a trash can, they would come back after classes to find the trash can full again with the same trash; lots of weird stuff like that. By the time Beth graduated, the room had a reputation among the underclasses of being 'haunted'.

Ouija boards... JUST SAY NO! THEY ARE A DOORWAY TO EVIL with NO PROTECTION!

Ok - I'm wondering if your sister went to Queens College... because we sure had spooks in our dorm (short hall). I'm inclined to think it was drawing power from pubescent energy!
