No - I cant believe that Rich - you are soo missing out!! Its great!

I suppose you do have to be a bit cautious, but I try to buy from people with positive feedback - steer clear from people with negative feedback!!

I've just never looked into it I suppose.

My mum sells stuff on Amazon market place (and she has this annoying habit of phoning me or emailing me with all of the details, but I have never tried anything like it. I might have a play around with it one day.

My problem with ebay is I end up buying things I would have never bought in the first place, like the limited edition Harley Davidson cookie jar that I just had to have Yeah..i really needed that . Oh I also bought a towel rack for the cottage, it's got bears and moose on it..it's pretty cute and unique. I did get a ceramic hair straightener for a really good deal...that's probably my best buy yet.

I find one of the problems here is the cost of shipping...most times even if you get a good deal on something..the shipping is so high it's not worth it.

I bought the necklace I wore to my wedding, bras (with the tags still on!), vintage vases, platters, mirrors, a pretty bowl, and lots of other things I can't think of right now. I haven't purchased any large items, such as a door.

A Buffalo Sabres jersey for my boyfriend. I'm currently looking into material for my wedding decorations. I've never been dissapointed.

I buy my pets' flea medicine and printer ink on eBay always. It saves me tons of $$$. I've bought other thing too, like shoes, software, paintings, chairs, and unique decorative items. I always look at the shipping cost before I bid and include it in the total. If the total is too much, then I pass. I've only had 1 bad experience buying on eBay, but PayPal refunded my money, so it really didn't turn out too bad. I also love selling on eBay. I've unloaded tons of stuff to get cash for Christmas and back to school clothes. It's great to recycle all of your unwanteds.

                    Re: Ebay purchases??

When I bought my front door, the guy sent his poor dad to deliver it by car right across england!! hehe!!

The guy across the road sold his double garage door on ebay - my husband and a couple of the neighbours had to help load it on to the guys trailer who came to collect it!! Just as well there were some strong men around to help - us women may have broken a nail!!!

My silly cousin bidded on a car after he'd had a few beers!! totally forgot about it, and then when he logged onto ebay again he'd won the car!! He has vowed to never again log onto ebay while he's drinking! Luckily the car was only £80!! lol!

I sell too - last year I went on a cruise and bought all evening gowns on ebay - they looked fantastic - and then when I got back re-sold them and made much more money than what I'd paid for them - enough to take me and my 13yr old cousin to Venice and Milan for a week!! hehe!!

We'll do anything for a bargain wont we!!

Ha, yuck on the bars!!! I love Ebay! We have purchased many things, and sold things too. Just bought a Star Wars costume and Jango Fett blasters/holster for my sons (extremely tough to find, BTW). I saved 30 bucks on the costume over the costume shops and Starwars.com. Never, ever had a raw deal. Some mistakes were made, but sellers are usually fair and easy to work with. I love Ebay!

I'd love to start selling on there as well....I'm getting a new computer in a couple of weeks and thought about selling my old one (which isn't really that old), but the thought of shipping it would be a pain (and it cant be shipped out of the country withought enormous paperwork). so i'm not going to bother i don't think...

what kinds of things sell well on there? i've thought about selling old costume jewellery etc...
