I have just written a reply to a message and I found myself typing "sidewalk"!. Thats a word that means nothing in England, but automatically used it here!

Bur Rich....everything is pavement...the road, the sidewalk, a parking lot, a driveway, etc. How do you differentiate?

We don't all have the metric system so we call it a quarter pounder with cheese.

We can't however walk into a movie theatre and order a beer. not in a paper cup or anything. But we do have fries with mayonaisse quite a bit, but we dont drown 'em in that sh**

I think it's funny that the trunk is the boot, and a truck is a lorry and a bathroom, a loo. English versions are much cuter than American ones--ours are very brash and plain.
