well the title of the forum and the rules of the forum say it is for any non atkins lessons any member wants to lead not just for moderating postings.

Lessons and Lectures on off topic subjects. If you would like to teach an off-topic subject please contact the admin crew ( admins@atkinsdietbulletinboard.com )

I know Tom wanted to "censor" the replies and had them on a moderator reviewed delayed posting for the poker topics but running amuk was a memeber lead non censored topic. If anybody else wanted to lead a class like say one in graphic creating and/or posting that would not be possible now.

Hum, well if thats the case it should be open, but strange things have been happening around here, so this is just another one to add to the list.

so the topic is unlocked but the replies are admin moderated before they can appear in the topic? man if wannbe gives sppeed home work again that could be murder seeing the assignments since they are delayed being posted

Edited: I put a flip statement in that made Megs angry. I am sorry, I thought I was being funny and I guess it wasn't funny.
MODs have a great deal to do, so why should Run Amuk be moderated.

Lynne, you were a moderator and you were an administrator on ADBB. Therefore, you are aware of the work that goes into checking threads, answering questions, correcting faulty information, etc. etc. etc.

With your ADBB background, why you would encourage any actions that would unnecessarily increase the workload for any moderator?

It completely boggles my mind why anyone who was a former moderator and former administrator here would promote anything that will encumber the running of this board.

You know something…you don’t have to answer that question. Because this goddamn board and everyone in it are not worth the trouble or anxiety.

if it makes work for mods and admins then the issue is with the person creating the forum rules not member trying to use the forum as it is designed to be used.

so does this mean the lessons forum should be considered closed to all member posted replies to all topics in there since the entire forum is set on posting moderating and any reply will cause a moderator and/or admin to read them and decide if they merit worthiness to be included?

Lynne was just making the comment that if the run amuk thread would be moderated then it would be a lot of work 'cause did you see how many posts there are to that thread? She's (I'm asking the same question) just questioning why it is moderated (i.e. any posts are not displayed instantly, a moderator checks them over before they get posted). I think you missunderstood what she was saying Megs.

Thanks guys, but I was being flip and I do know the MODs have enough work and don't need more. It was a stupid thing for me to say and I really appolgise to any MOD that I made mad cause I really didn't mean it.

Here's a good example. I posted 3 posts to the run amuk thread between yesterday and today and they still haven't been approved yet.

Hey guys. Just to calm things down...there are perhaps some changes occurring to the lessons forum, so please just stay tuned and sit on this one for a little bit...ok? It's no big deal, but I think we'll be ok without that thread for a few days, right? We'll let you know what the changes are as soon as we do. Thanks for the interest.

There will no longer be a Lessons Forum. As always we strive to give you the best Atkins support possible.
The Cooking lessons will remain as they are

well I only look in the main for General discussion for all aspects of the Atkins Diet per its describtion, but thanks of the heads up so nobody else has to ask why in this topic, a PM, nor in the running amuk topic.
