        Ahhhh, journal time. Hmmm. I don't have much to say, except...
        to anyone that may on the off chance read this and have never tried anything with those alcohol sugars in it...stay away. Unless you like spending 6 hours in the bathroom later. That stuff is seriously bad.

          Been there! Done that! But, the really great thing is ...3 years ago I did not even know what a serving size was! Now, I can be totally satisfied with less then half a serving.

            Oh man...I had exactly one piece, which was 1/3 of a serving. A couple of years ago I bought a bunch of those 2 net carb energy bars...I vomited everytime I ate one and felt sick for days. I thought I had the flu, or a virus, until I realized it was happening everytime I ate a bar. That is some seriously bad stuff.

              Ok, my last post for tonight. First, I want to add to "Pamela's Double Yuk List" (I think I will start one officially) Diet Vernors. Now I love ginger and I have had diet for many years when I just have to have a soda, which isn't that often. I have been told by hundreds to try diet Vernors and squirt and so on. THAT STUFF TASTES LIKE GIRAFF PISS !!!!!!!! and no I will not tell you how I know...I just am pretty sure.

              Oh crap, I forgot why I wanted to post...
              Well, I am going to a Christmas Orchestral Concert Sunday and I was suppose to go on a Holiday wine tasting train trip, but.....I know that is a no no, so I now have to convince people how they really want to do something else. The food they serve with each wine is pretty carby, much less not being allowed the wine.

              Well, I still cannot remember what the purpose for this post is, so sayonara and Bon Atkinique!!!!

                Hey Pamela, I'm quoting this from another thread...over here because this is where you are hanging out and I know you'll see it LOL

                I HIGHLY recommend you moving into OWL as opposed to staying in extended induction. The only reason I would recommend extending your induction is if you didn't do it clean, but judging by your 14 days cheat free...you're clean as a whistle lol

                Rung 1 of OWL is just 5 grams net carbs of more veggies.

                  MustLose80--are you not originally from Michigan? Vernors reigns supreme...don't even MENTION Canada Dry. I, for one, LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE Vernors, and I'm totally bummed that they don't sell it out here. (While we're on that note, I totally miss Faygo, too...sure it was cheap, but Rock N Rye is a distinct flava.) All other Ginger Ales taste nasty to me. Do you know the ONLY area of the US that likes Vernors is Michigan? You're probably saying "Only one state out of 50? I can see why..." I will say it's bigger in the UP (which is practically Canada anyway) and where I grew up (on the E. side of the state) than on the west...my boyfriend won't touch the stuff and he's from Grand Rapids.

                    I love you ladies!!! Thanks for keeping me company.

                    VR, yes, I did a very clean induction and I do wonder if I didn't lose the weight as well because I actually didn't get to eat much at all. I usually had one meal a day, well more like 2-5 bites, not a whole meal. With work more busy because of the holiday parties and with end of the semester extra pile on at school, I hardly put food in my mouth on most days.

                    Juli, I am sorry i dissed your drink, I actually asked Lauren to delete my "Pamela's Double Yuk List" thread. I was burned out, and sarcastic when i started it. I am so out of it this time around....I just want it to be over (school). I didn't taste any ginger at all and while I think canada dry tastes better, I don't like it either. I have for about as long as I can remember had a very authentic german ginger ale. And I mean GINGER ALE. The bottle is printed (no label) in a very scrolly Old German/English print so I never really read it, but I think it is Blenheim. It is very strong with ginger. Did you know that the first soda pop made in the US was Vernors in Detroit???

                    Oh yeah, i am originally from Dallas and have lived in several small towns across the US, but also Houston, Austin, Colorado City, Sacramento, San Francisco, New York City, Washington D.C.....blah blah blah

                      Well, I just googled Blenheim and I want to correct my bad information. I was always told that Blenheim is a German Ginger Ale, but....it is actually bottled in Blenheim, Marlboro County, South Carolina, USA. Because of the strong flavor of the mineral water there. It is named for Blenheim Palace in Oxsfordshire, England, which is named for a battle the British won in Blindheim, Germany, but the family that owns the company are of Germanic heritage!!! LOL Who knows, maybe it is an old german recipe. All the information you never wanted to know and didn't ask for.

                        I am really frequenting my own thread today, but I just have to add....two of my favorite colas in the world....of course they do not make diet versions that I know of....are

                        China Cola, no phosphates, or chemicals, all natural, soooooooo good

                        and Jamaican Kola Champagne. I cannot put my finger on the flavor, but baby baby that is some good stuff!!

                          MustLose80--I wasn't offended...I was just musing on the fact that I think to like Vernor's you've got to be from Michigan...it's definitely an acquired taste.

                          Sooooo while you're there, send me a case of Vernors, and about a gross of Koegel's ok?

                              Heck yes! Usually I end up getting sick too--my body will make it BARELY through finals, and that first week of break I end up with bronchitis or the flu or something else nasty.

                                Oh Juli....me toooooo, I have every year, but this year, I went and got a flu shot and a pneumonia shot in October. I have had pneumonia for the last two years and just couldn't take it again. I was in the hospital last time and was out for 2 months...somehow, I didn't drop below a 3.5. I barely squeaked by on that one, but I did have to drop a class. I suspect you are an overacheiver like me. I honestly don't try to be, nor a perfectionist. I guess I was raised to fully complete every job with correctness, plus, it is a bit of my own personality.

                                I had a teacher once that was always making me drop what I was doing to start something else (histology lab). She had no idea that I am not made that way...I can't do that. I was sick all of the time that semester from frustration making me stressed. I was freaking out that someone else, or god forbid, no one finished what I started. I think getting that A lost me about 1000 hairs.
