Julie, I'm not gonna see it. Long story short, my husband got in a fight with the cable company. So...um...we no longer have TV or internet at home. Did I mention that sometimes he has a temper?
Here goes. Comcast Cablevision of Southwest Florida sucks the big one.
Last week Thursday, we got home from work and find a note on our door that our cable and internet has been disconnected for non payment. What!??!!?!? I've never been late for a bill in my life. So...of course, I can't get online to check my bank account to make sure the payments have gone out because my internet is disconnected.
Next day at work, I check the bank, and everything has come out of our account, and into the cable companies account a week ahead of schedule. So...I call hubby, tell him to call Comcast. They kept him on the phone for 30 minutes and insisted we hadn't paid. So I call the bank, and then conference call the cable company. They were finally able to find our payments after keeping me on the phone for over 45 minutes. Some idiot in accounting "accidently" applied payment to someone else's account. So...when is my cable and internet going to be re-established, I ask. The idiot says...........No later than Friday, February 9!!! So I said @#$#(*$ !! $#$#@#@# #@#@$#$##@##@# @#@$#@#!@#! and slammed down the phone.
My husband called back and told them to shove it, and cancelled our service.
yeah still a great show and love watching the creativity that the chefs use in the challenges - and love the competetiveness of it as well.....
but the thing is that it seems contestants on these shows have become more and more just whiney and feel like they are entitled to things or something - just seem a little spoiled and forget that this oppurtunity is a gift and they need to stop the complaining and take advantage of it....
the people on the Apprentice this year are much worse - the whole last show was all the members of one team complaining about one of their members the whole show - everything she did was wrong and the reason they all screwed up.....gimme a break.......
Anybody going to watch Top Design? My boyfriend was poo-pooing it until we saw a preview where the people are like, building their own furniture and stuff. I'm excited to see it...I love these challenges that Bravo comes up with. They need to have Top Blogger, and maybe we could compete.
Can I just chime in and sob about the loss of my man, Sam?!?!?! Oh dear, I was so sad to see him go -- I thought he was really the most talented and certainly the cutest (in my opinion - I usually like them tall, dark, with good voices, and talented hands!)!
I'm going to go cry in a bucket now. pout pout pout
Miss Phode, I'm sorry to hear about your internet-cable woes. Since it was their error, they really should have come out immediately, don't you think?!
Mmmm Stacy, I know what you mean. My heart (and libido) sank when they kicked Sam off. I mean, what's the point in watching it now? Yes, that tall, dark, handsome, deep-voiced, nimble-fingered diabetic was my favorite.
But it will still be interesting to watch the pi$$ing contest between Marcel and Ilan...
Does anyone else think Ilan looks like the lost member of Weezer?
Julie! Yes yes yes yes -- Ilan totally looks like he belongs in Weezer! Ha ha, that was a great observation. Marcel just pings a lot of nerves for me -- he's a little to junior high schoo, if you know what I mean!
I liked Elia and was happy she made it this far. But I was never convinced that she should have been Top Chef.
Ah, Sam, our little Sam. Just about makes me want to move to New York and hunt him down!
I will be DVR-ing the show Wednesday and will watch on Thursday. Can't wait to see how this plays out. Please, Ilan, kick Marcel's funky werewolf hair out of the park!
