Well, after years of yo-yo dieting and failing most of the time I've come to realize that the Atkins way of eating is the only one that is realistic for me. I have insulin issues and cannot eat carbs without going into the "mad cravings" mode. You've heard those wacky tv commercials for diet programs which shall remain nameless--totally obnoxious as they emphasize how you LOOK as opposed to how healthy you're supposed to be--Someone is always saying "If I can do it, so can you." Well, I'm here to say I've tried most of their programs and they DIDN'T WORK FOR ME. But with Atkins, I really feel there is hope for me. I look forward to a healthier life, and if I look good too in the process well then that's just the low-carb icing on the sugar-free cake!
My sweetie's pet name for me is Strudel...AND...my mom used to make the best sweet apple strudel when I was a kid...hence I'm overweight...just kiddin, although I'm sure it contributed. I have always loved desserts.
Oh my OWL! Your house really does look like an owl! Cool! Are you doing the OWL rungs yet? If you are, I bet you feel right at home!!!

Mine's droll.
I was on the edge of dropping down into depression... without hope or joy...
but I found both again... a happy ending... kinda sappy huh?
liz
Oh hopejoy, that's not sappy at all. Anyone who suffers with "sadness" will understand completely. I've stopped using the word depression for myself (and I've suffered from it horribly, in fact, I'm quite sure I'm bipolar), I use the word "sad" now. But when your name is hopejoy, it's like you're very name is fighting the sadness off. That's actually pretty cool.

I am one of those obvious ones... my name is Mitzi Marie. I guess that didn't take much imagination, did it?
I think that my name is pretty unique, though, so I like to use it. My mom was really crazy about an actress/dancer named Mitzi Gaynor, so that's where my name came from.
Thanks Tomorrow I'll be perfect!
I think our blood sugar, and carbs play havoc with moods... just so relieved to not be dealing with that now... feels like freedom... having hope and joy again...
