My DM & DB just returned from Vegas. They stayed at the Aladdin, and were extremely satisfied, as they were only a block or so from all the action and could walk back and forth to their room from Cirque de Soleil, casinos & so on. It's going to be called Planet Hollywood before 2008, and will have been completely remodelled. Mom brought me a chip with the old Alladin Impression & new Planet Hollywood center logo.

...It is located across the street from the Bellagio and next door to the Paris Las Vegas the Aladdin Hotel and Casino is in a great center strip locale. The casino is surrounded by the Desert Shops and the Arabian night’s theme is present through both the shopping area and the Casino. This property will transform to the Planet Hollywood Resort in 2007 so expect some major décor changes.~Susan

I had dinner at the Aladdin food court last time I was in Vegas - looked around at some of the shops - very beautiful place. I wonder what the rooms are like?
I've always stayed at the Paris because DH put in the phone system there and he worked the weekend of the opening and DS and I went too. I'd be happy anyplace though as long as we all got together

I've never been - but have always wanted to go. My husband just got back from a senior management training not too long ago - and LOVED it. He stayed at Caeser's Palace and liked the digs there.
We were planning on going this year for my 30th birthday 07/07/07 - reasoning that it may be a lucky time to go since I was born on 7/7/77 -- but I decided that I would really rather go on a mission trip to a children's ranch in Montana with our "Vegas" money, and that trip so happens to begin on 07/07/07. After praying about it with my husband, we feel that it is a good opportunity for us to serve in our ministry, and to give back, because we have been blessed so many times over in our lives.
But, and that's a BIG pre-Atkins BUTT --- we still really want to experience Vegas and feel that this would be a perfect opportunity. Count us in!!Comment
