I had a crush on him since the 4th grade! He was in the 6th grade and very cool..lol. I was shy, and of course said nothing.

When I was 15 my mother came home one day and said that her friend had a son about my age and they were joking that they should fix us up. My husband wasn't shy at all! As soon as they mentioned this to him he called me....he didn't even know who I was or what I looked like! When I realized it was him I about died! We talked for 2 days on the phone, then I went to his house to meet him....and that was 15 years ago!

Julie and I met in 7th grade band. She played the sax I played the trombone. Now we make beautiful music together.

Bob and I met online, he was from Kentucky and I from Vermont. We happened to both be visiting a chat room for the first time. He introduced himself asking if it was ok that he was in the 40 something room even if he wasn't 40 because the 30 something room was not appealing to him. No one answered so I did because I was doing the exact same thing. Checking out the 40 something room because I had been completely turned off by the 30 something room. We started chatting about easy stuff and after 4 months of getting to know eachother online he gave notice at his work sold his house and moved to Vermont to find out if we had what we thought we did ......... he moved here in Feb. Proposed in July and we were married Oct 7th 2000. He took on me and my five children and we made two more of ours together. It's been 7 years of happiness so far and hopefully many more to come .........

I went to school with Kev and I knew of him from around 14 or so because he was one of the over achievey kids and good at football. But he didn't know of me until A'levels - 16 years old. We were in the same English lit class and liked each other on and off for a while. We got together at 18 just as the class and school ended forever in 2000. We went to uni together and have lived together since 2002.

My girlfriend who was married to a soldier introduced me to my husband (also a soldier) just before they were deploying for 6 months. We wrote to each other when he was gone, dated another 6 months afterwards. He got orders to leave again for a 1 year tour, we married so I could go with him for 3 years as family status. Next year will be 31 years for us.

Should I be ashamed to admit that I met my boyfriend on Myspace? hahah

I had just moved back to my hometown after an awful breakup, and I'd sworn off men for a long time. I was browsing Myspace one night and being snoopy and looking at random people in my city, and I found Casey's page. I started reading his blog and realized that he was one of the few people on Myspace who could form a coherent sentence. I liked his writing. A man who can write is sexy So I complimented him on his blog and we started writing each other long letters.

On our first date, we met at the park. He'd told me he would be wearing a hat and sitting in a certain place. When I pulled up, I saw this little guy sitting there in a sombrero. It was the cutest thing! That was a little more than a year ago.

I met my daughters dad and long term boyfriend online in a matter of only 15 minutes chatting. Awwww memories of that day. I still get the same butterfly feelings when hs about to come home!

Waaayyy back on September 20th, 1975, a girlfriend set me up on a blind date with a fellow who worked with her boyfriend. He drove me home, and said maybe he'd call me sometime. I immediately gave him my phone number (which was totally out of character for me). He called me up for the first time on September 23rd, 1975.

We got married on September 23rd, 1978 and just celebrated our 29th wedding anniversary!!

This is such a great thread. I love hearing stories about how people met their partners.

I met my husband via friends. Our best friends were married to each other & had been trying to get us together but it just never happened. I lived 1.5 hrs North of them & he lived on Cape Cod which was 3 hours away.

I agreed to dinner & a movie at their house with alot of reluctance. I was finally divorced, had been on my own for 2yrs & finally feeling like I was getting my life together. I was also still in a place where I considered all males complete A$$ Holes (sorry guys).

I was on my 3rd round of antibiotics for a persistant case of bronchitis. I got up to go out to my car to get my medication. He asked me what I was doing then went out in the cold March night to get my meds. Bonus point for him. Very kind, gentle, good work ethics, over 6', handsome, has all his teeth & a very nice butt!

Anywho 8 weeks later he moved in with me & 4 months later asked me to marry him. I said yes but we had to wait for a year. I didn't want to rush into anything. Plus in the back of my mind I was waiting for the a$$ hole to come out. Nobody could be this nice all the time. Finally married him 2 years after we met. All of our kids were in the wedding. We have 4 between us...one boy & 3 girls. Our baby is a cat name Sheena! Been married for 8 years.

I'm rambling but I love & adore my husband!!

I actually met Tommy the very first day I moved back to my home town...divorced after 18yrs of marriage..I decided to move back to home town...he helped another friend unload the truck. We did not start dating right away...in fact I joke with him that he stalked me for awhile..at that time is was still delivering mail (moved on up to Post Master..pat on the back Tommy) His mail route was the same route I took home everydy for Lunch...I swear everyday he was waiting at one place or another for me to pass him by...he would smile real big and wave..this went on for months...LoL..we finally hooked up at a friends house...I know Long story...sorry!

I met my dh of 21 years at a health club... I had just moved home from university... We saw eachother... he walked over and asked "what kind of exersize is that?" I was sitting on the floor waiting for an aerobics class to start! lol.
He asked me out and I said no... but then after talking to him for an hour decided he was harmless, and funny (not an ax murderer)... so we went on a double date to the Del Mar Fair... and the rest is history!
