well i was born and raised in NC, i am a proud carolina tarheel grad ('83) and then i got DUMPED in the southern californian desert....and i can't wait to go home.

mine is a nickname which fits because my mom used to make the best apple strudel when I was a kid which attributed to my weight...sheesh...thanks mom...j/k

My birth name was Marcella. I lived in foster homes for several years, and was called Marcella. I was adopted in 1964 when I was six-years old, and my Mom changed it to Marcy.

When I was born in 1960, my mom was crazy about an actress named Mitzi Gaynor, and that is where my name came from. Here is a little about her:

A popular '50s and '60s singer, actress and dancer, Mitzi Gaynor was recognized for not only her singing and dancing abilities but also her bright-eyed personality and chirpy charm. She brought zest and vivacity to all the Broadway shows and films she starred in. Known for her dancing techniques, she starred with such singing and dancing greats as Bing Crosby in Anything Goes, Frank Sinatra in The Joker Is Wild and Gene Kelly in Les Girls. Her career has spanned all media, including films, television specials and Broadway, and she continues to sing and dance on the nightclub circuit.

mine was simple, my sister is named cindy, when my parents would call us they would say cindy, brady. Thus we became the bradybunch
