I grew up on a farm. I could drive at the age of 10.
It did take me 2 trys to pass the exam, didn't read the book the first time.

I was 17ish when I learned to drive and got my license shortly thereafter. It took me 2 attempts to get it. The first time I went the instructor asked me to parallel park behind a panel truck....I thought WHT is a panel truck and I ended up driving right past the VAN. He thought I was being a smart a$$ and then I got nervous and screwed everything up after that point!

Arghh, still can't drive - find it terrifying. Am planning to learn...at some vague futuristic point.

Well, we too had farms and I started driving a tractor at about 11 years old. Then we'd drive the farm truck all over the acreage when dad took a nap, but the truck was so loud we always got caught. It was fun! I passed my test the first time cuz I'm a goody two shoes

I was 17 too, passed first time after 6 months of learning. I think I recall having my first lesson the day after my 17th birthday. I recall having about 21 lessons in total.

Well aren't we all techincally with a mind like a steel trap! I recall having 21 lessons...sheesh....I can hardly recall what I did yesterday!
