Glad to see I am in good company with the shoe/handbag addiction. I'd take a pic of mine but I'm away from home at the moment. I would say I have at least 50 pair and nearly the same amount of handbags.

Why do I love them....

YOU NEVER GROW OUT OF HANDBAGS....NO MATTER WHAT SIZE YOU WEAR THEY ALWAYS FIT.

SOFAR AS SHOES GO, YOU REALLY DON'T GROW OUT OF THOSE EITHER UNLESS YOUR FEET GET SKINNER...HEHEHE.

BOTH SHOES AND HANDBAGS ALWAYS COME BACK AROUND INTO STYLE IF YOU KEEP THEM LONG ENOUGH.

Like has been said, I don't have any other addictions and so I think this one is fairly safe, except to the ole bank account!

I was told that an outfit is nothing without accessories, that's what makes an outfit.
It doesn't matter how cute your outfit is, but if you have the wrong purse or shoes with it, it's dead.
That's why they're important to a woman's wardrobe. Plus, accessories can help your agenda along. You have business shoes for a job interview. Maybe a pair for when you have presentations at work. Another pair for a business dinner.

And then of course, when we go out that deserves a pair of shoes as well!

I own 6 pairs of shoes ......... 2 pairs of crocks, my sneakers and clogs, 1 pair of black dress shoes and a pair of sandals ........... Oh make that 7 I have a pair of winter boots as well.

Even for purses I am pretty pathetic and I love them but I just don't have the money to spend on them. I think I have 7 and two are actual purses, one light and one dark, the rest are more tote style bags that are speical ones ....... like I have an apple bag I carry now and I have a halloween one and a christmas one ect ........... they must be big enough for my things and a few diapers and baby things as well ............ no not stylish! Here they are ........... I order from a girl in Texas I love her bags ...........

I'm in the minority here I have 4 pairs slippers, house slippers, sandals, and sneakers. I think there's something wrong with me.

I am an accessory junky. I have well over 100 pairs of shoes and 5 bins full of purses. Why? Ask a man why they scratch themselves? "Because I can." Is the answer.

Now that's the best answer yet!!I only have 1 purse...it's new, I just got it a couple of days ago. I know I know....shock and dismay from my fellow cohorts. But...I make up for what I don't have in purses...in shoes. I have 22 pairs of shoes...counting slippers and flip flops. I actually buy shoes and then work them around my wardrobe and then sometimes I'll buy clothes to make the challenge of finding shoes.

I actually don't own a ton of shoes or purses. I own 4 purses, at most, and 4 pairs of shoes, two of which I don't use thanks to my cankles
I haven't tried those on since this summer! Maybe I should do that

LOL sadly no... I'm kind of boring in the shoe department. LOL. I'm the flip-flop queen and I usually go for brown or black or converse, vans or Dr. Martins.
And just think, about 4 months ago I took about 2 large garbage bags full of shoes to the Goodwill!! (You know the shoes you HAVE to have and then never wear...)

My love for shoes started when I realized that my clothes may get bigger or smaller and I'd have to say goodbye to certain favorites because they no longer fit. However...my feet have remained loyal to my body and have not changed in size!! Therefore, I can reward and pamper them with new options!

I had to finally move half of my collection into the hall closet so my bf had room for his shoes. Shoes, the right ones of course, can make the worst day turn bright and can make you feel sexy when you're blah.

My purses depend on what I'm doing or where I'm going or how many kids I have with me...it's not uncommon for me to find matchbox cars or barbie bits in my purse!!

However...I love the answer by 2BME...BECAUSE I CAN!!

ps: I've passed the gene to my youngest....her nickname is "Imelda"
