    Re: Liar, Liar, Liar

Hayden is in Hong Kong today, and last night was out on the town. (8 hours ahead of GMT)

How far was the race with a dolphin? Over a single metre or a couple of feet, then maybe you'd have a chance. Also if you're in a boat with a engine then, you could easy go faster than a dolphin.

I've been in a boat on the open sea in Japan and seen a pod of maybe 30 dolphins swimming past me and the boat.
If I hadn't noticed them, they would have swam past, without me ever knowing because they were just silently and quickly swimming past.

So, in collusion as you (cleverly) didn't say if you raced the dolphins while swimming or in a boat, I'm inclined to think raced dolphins (and won) is the truth.

    Next

The cost of worth, means nothing. I could look for and find the pencil that I dropped behind the sofa the other day. When I find it, I could say it's worth $10. Don't think I'll get that much if I tried to sell it though.
So, I also think the gold coin is true.
Well done for finding the coin though. Is it pretty?

I think that "I have been to the Emmys" is the lie.

It's just "there" in the list. Like a hand grenade still with it's pin in.

I'll be flying back to Japan tonight.
    Hayden.

Its all different now but back then my eye sight wasnt good enough, Its a shame i didnt stick with it a bit longer as the rules changed a year or so after I left and it wasnt the easiest thing to get back into once you'd quit, but it was an experience for sure...

Ok TW - I think you can tell us now! (well, when you wake up! hehe)

Sorry to disappoint you, but I'm just an Engineer.

I was a professional stand-up comedian for three years, so I guess if you separate the stagecraft, and the performance from the mindset, some of those skills that a detective or a lawyer needs, are also skills used, when you write stand up comedy.

BTW, I'm impressed with Emma and her pilot training too.

When I was a teenager, I was learning to sail, and horse ride.

(football, soccer, or ball sports have never really interested me, and still don't)

Angelica Houston?! That hurts! She looks like Leonard Nimoy these days! I usually hear Merrill Streep or Kristin Scott Thomas (which I am ok with, though Merril is getting on a bit).

                              Ok:
                              1. I have been to the Emmys
                              2. I can ride a unicycle
                              3. I have raced dolphins (and won)
                              4. I used to run "underground" casinos for high rollers
                              5. I once found a gold coin worth over 1400$

                              1. I have been to the Emmys - true. I used to work for Columbia Pictures and my ex fiance was a TV publicist. One year some of his shows were nominated, so we got to go. It was sweet - first class flight, limos, more champagne than I could drink (didn't know that much champagne existed). Some of the papparazi accidentally even took photos of me as I walked in on the red carpet. Once in a lifetime experience.
                              2. I can ride a unicycle - true. Daddy bought me one when I was like, 9. I practiced up and down my hall for months until I discovered by accident (wasn't paying attention, and left the hall) that I could ride the silly thing.
                              3. I have raced dolphins (and won) - true. I worded this poorly. My husband and I were doing the VIP tour at seaworld and they let you go into the football-field sized pool, and hold on to the dolphin's dorsal fins and have them race while you "ride" them. You are pulled along at quite a clip. My dolphin, with me clinging on, won.
                              4. I used to run underground casinos for high rollers - true. My ex fiance very successfully counted cards in blackjack as a second career. We'd fly to vegas on weekends and make a tidy sum at the real casinos, and then come back and after the rages closed down, open the doors to the L.A. glitterati and he'd make an additional bundle with secret, exclusive casinos. We had to keep changing the locations. I'd hire my college girlfriends to serve drinks and look cute.
                              5. I once found a gold coin worth $1400 - false. Wish I could. I would love to get one of those old man-hobby metal detectors and go searching. New England is full of old, interesting artifacts.

Sigh. Life's slowed down a bit since all that.
