In short: Interesting to say the least!
In full: I spent a week in Jersey, built purely around the half marathon. Enjoyed every minute of it, and that includes the race. What a nightmare, but I am guessing people may already have come to that conclusion after reading everyone elses comments.
A PW for me (if PW is the exact opposite of PB), but I am hardly surprised, I was hit with a cold a couple of days prior and if I am honest, probably shouldnt have ran on the day, but I did it as it was really the sole intention of me being on the island.
Marshalling perfect, whole race really well organised. Even a few supporters out on the course, which bearing in mind the weather was nice to see. A good course too.
A massive thanks to Lisa and Nigel (the physios) for helping me out afterwards, I was not in a fit state to do anything and they kindly gave me a lift back to my accommodation. A big thanks also to the St Johns Ambulance people who helped me post race as my body temperature had dropped drastically.
Infact thanks to everyone, I hope to run it again someday.
