- I have 2 sisters still to get for. I'd like to get something for them AND their husbands - a combined present because of limited funds. They are 35 and 40 both have nice and fairly big new houses - any ideas for inexpensive house type things?

Well one year I gave my sil dinner certificates and I gave their husbands movie certificates.. My husband thought it was a dumb idea.. they LOVED it..because then they could go out on a "date"

My Brother and his GF recently had a baby, until then she was never introduced to the family, so ive met her like, twice, though we email every now and again...


I *feel* like i should get her something, but i have no clue what, because i dont know her, any ideas?

Since you don't know her or her family very well, she probably doesn't know a lot about yours, either. Why not but her a Family Tree album and fill in your side of the family's history? It wouldn't cost you much now but would be priceless later on, especially to your neice. Just a thought.

Thanks for the ideas! Nice ones there! I want that fish aquarium for me! Sounds relaxing I think I'm going to look at cookware/serving stuff.

I like the date vouchers idea - but they all have kids and Im too far away to babysit!

Date vouchers are a cool idea! I may look at that for my best friend, she's always skint lately and saying she cant afford to go out, or maybe i should do a tab behind the bar for her LOL!

I tried this one for my mom, but she wasn't interested. Since Katrina when they lost their house they have been living in a condo. Moving from 3200 sq. foot into 1200 sq. foot just doesn't leave room for extras like that. I, however, think that is a cool gift!

That is a wonderful idea and I may do this for my two sons, and their girlfriends as side gifts.
