    Re: a Snake story!!! lol

I was changing the toner and had a bottle of water with me and the same time and nearly swigged from the wrong one. That could be a Darwin Award winner.

I've eaten a jigsaw piece in the same situation,

only realised when i couldnt finish my puzzle...

funny, considering it wasnt cheese and onion flavour.

Funny, I'm not afraid of snakes at all, used to catch little garder snakes up at the cottage when I was a kid..keep them and name them. My mom however wasn't as thrilled with them so of coures i wasn't allowed to bring them home

The one snakes i don't like are the water snakes in our lake at the cottage, they move very quickly (and yes they do swim on top and under the water) so they usually catch me off guard.....

thoug I'd still take a water snake over a spider anyday....shudder.

This is what hte spiders that live under our dock look like. My husband was tying up the boat (no shirt one) and one ran up his back. I witnessed it and had nightmares for days. I was so shocked i couldn't even scream when i saw it!

THey're the only spider that catch their prey without a web...they eat small minnows out of the lake, oh and they can swim too!

Yikes, when I say I don't mind spiders, I meant the UK non-scary kind!

                            How big are they Jen?

They're quite large, tarantula sized seriously. I've seen some (including the one on my husbands back) about 4 inches long. Most i see are 2 or 3 inches.

The fact that they can swim on top of and under the water is what grosse me out! Usually when i'm sitting on the dock it's with a cocktail in my hand LOL..that gives me the nerve to sit there with them! though for the most part they tend to stay underneath or on the sides 'sunning' themselves. blech!
