          Thats an accurate article barrnone...sometimes its just easier to do everything ourselves...the cleanup from men in the kitchen....well, I don't think I need to explain it!

                  Jules: If you stop by my house this weekend, I will make you some. BTW bring the feather duster It's not just for cleaning cobwebs!

                  I love to grill, I love to bake. I'm not so much into the cooking thing, but when I am making something new, I love it too. Since I started with the Atkinsing, I make a lot more of the meals than I did before. I used to rely on my wife to make and serve dinner, but since I have special dietary requirements, I have stepped up to the plate, and I enjoy it. Here's the deal though. In our house, the person who makes the meal, cleans the kitchen. The thought process behind this is simple. When you are making dinner, the expectation is that you clean up what you can as you go. So if you do a bunch of prep for the meal (ie cleaning and cutting up vegetables or washing lettuce) you clean up as you go. Put the stuff you're done with back in the cupboards, fridge, or the dirty dishes into the dishwasher. I hate cleaning up as I go, but to appease the boss, I try to do it. However, when I use the BBQ, I clean it with the appropriate brush, and I oil the grill before use. It is harder to do other things when there are certain things on the grill, but when I'm doing chicken, or steak, there's often lots of time to do other prep work in the kitchen for sides and the like.

                  Sad thing is that when I used to make meals, the things I made were; Pad Thai, Perogies, A beef wrap concoction, and several tomato sauce based meals. All of the original versions of these meals (especially the perogies) are off limits now. So I make other, new things. I just keep adding recipes so I don't get bored.

                  I hate the way my hands feel when they've been in the dishwater for too long. They get extremely itchy and then I scratch the heck out of them. I put moisturizer stuff on them which makes em better. I just can't see myself wearing rubber gloves washing dishes. (Still need to take those apron and snickerdoodle pictures [still don't have an apron]).

                  So, we talked about socks and clowns yesterday, what's on the 'menu' today?

                      We could talk about how I can get out of my shift tonight....I need some dandy ideas to tell the boss...or whoever I get to cover for me!!!
                      My work is slightly "gibbled" you can't just call in sick, you need to cover your shift!!!! No ifs ands or butts....or else its considered neglect on our patients! Gimmie a break...I have needs and I NEED to call in SICK tonight! lmao

                        Can you just tell them that you are hemorrhaging and you have MAD cramps, and there's NO WAY you can make it in. (Note that you can only use this excuse once a month).

                        That or do the Jeff Foxworthy thing and call in with Leprosy.

                          HA! Ya at xmas time I was so sick, no one would cover me, and the boss told me no way...I said, ok than, came in on my death bed and in turn all the staff and clients got sick! Do you think this opened the eyes of management? LMAO NOPE!!! Heartless ppl I tell ya haha

                            I prefer to call in with "food poisoning" it is really nasty, involves projectile ick coming out of you in multiple directions and NO ONE wants any details bout it.

                                We don't have a dishwasher, so I know about dry hands...and no, I don't use gloves.

                                here's my Dear Heloise for the day: when you're hands are extremely dry, soak in warm water for a bit, then rub hands with Vit E Oil and Vasoline - put on cotton gloves. Keep on for a while - you're hands will feel great!
