Yeah, I'm hoping I'll find some good deals on a nano for Christmas.

Re: Thinking of buying an Ipod!

I still think that Creative makes incredible MP3 players. I have the smaller version and my friend has the larger one. Both of us have watched people kill their iPods, and not kill them... the one thing that most people say about ipods is that they can scratch easily. I realize this isn't so easy with the shuffle. All I'm giving is a different perspective. Most of the toys that go with iPods are compatible with the other mp3 players or there are the same toys from different companies that are compatible (except for the nike/ipod thing which would be the *only* reason I would buy an ipod).

I LOVE my IPOD!!! My boyfriend bought me the 30 gig video one last year for my birthday. He also bought me the clear case with the clippy thing on it so I can clip it to my pants and go. I use it all day every day at work and at home too. It is by FAR the best gift anyone has every given me. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine!!

Re: Thinking of buying an Ipod!

I just bought a nano 4gb. I'm still learning how to use it but am really happy so far. Bought it because it plugs into my car stereo... pretty cool. I also mean to use it for listening to audiobooks when walking the doggies.

I use mine in the car via an itrip (I haven't got a posh radio in my car!! lol) but its soo good!! I also use it for audiobooks - but I have to be carefull not to listen to anything too smutty on the way home if I have the windows down!! lol

I've just had to buy new ear-phones though, as the gym play their music soo loudly I cant hear it sometimes!! so I've bought some that are supposed to block out all noise from around you!!! I'll wait and see!!

What's an itrip? (I'm new to all this!)

Am chuckling at you listening to smutty audiobooks in the car. You've given me an idea... maybe a good smutty audiobook would liven up the dog walks!! So far I've gone from Tolstoy to Stephen King!

Re: Thinking of buying an Ipod!

Ack, how do you *not like* a nano?!?! You can have it tell you where to drive, and read to you, and let you watch tv shows and movies, and probably help you take over the world as well if you asked it nice enough. There's the shoe thing that tells you where you went which should be even faster than google pedometers, you can even make it wireless now (I didn't get a chance to fully research this).

I have a shuffle. I had a Creative MuVo (which I looooved... and lost). The downside to iPod is having to have iTunes instead of just dragging and dropping, and that's a pain. and for the shuffle you can't organize songs into folders (I used to have a half hour long mix for a 5k run where I would know I should speed it up at the last song).

                      Anyway, I think you're insane Emma. :P

Re: Thinking of buying an Ipod!

I love my IPod. I have the 4 gb nano, holds about 1000 songs. I've only filled up 300 so far. Plus you can always delete songs if you fill it up or get sick of them. Sometimes I wonder if I shoulda got a zune since it looks like it might have more features for the money so you may want to check into that.
