Re: How often do you weigh in?
Once in the morning to "punch in" on my weight loss focus for the day. Once at night before bed to get an idea of what I can expect the next day. I'm usually 2-3 pounds over the next morning's weigh in.
This subject is what I call "to each their own" issue.

Re: How often do you weigh in?
i weigh in the morning when i can remember. i pay closer attention to it when i am up a couple pounds. when i lose 'em, i quit weighing every day. it's important to stay within that 5 pound range of goal as Dr. A mentions on page 225 and other places in the book.

Re: How often do you weigh in?
Once a day every day for the last year (unless I'm out of town) BUT I only get to write it down in my journal or my signature on here once a week on Tuesday which is my "official" weigh day.
This really helps me keep track and adjust in between "official" weigh days, but keeps me from obsessing TOO much about it.~Joy

Re: How often do you weigh in?
I actually voted once a week. But I got new scales yesterday and they are so pretty and ACCURATE that I'm changing to once a day. I think it will keep me better focused... I've had thoughts of straying lately.

Re: How often do you weigh in?
I only weigh once a week. Any more than that and I'm just driving myself crazy. I went a whole month without weighing and it was the best month I've had so far! I go in spurts where I gain muscle/lose fat but the scale shows no change, so I like to rely on measurements when the scale is being a dork.START 8/16/06 @ 270+~MG1: 220-12/2/06~MG2: 210-1/07~MG3: 199-3/2/07~MG4: 190-4/27/07~MG5: 180-7/04/07~GOAL: 170

Re: How often do you weigh in?
Ahhhhh, my arch nemisis the scale. Can't live with it, can't use it for spare parts! LOL
I go between extreems, sometimes I am a 16345879602 times a day weigher and other times I can go for a week or more, even up to a month when I challenged myself to do so without weighing. But on average I'd say about 2 times a week. I never really take my weight as gospel though because it fluctuates so much. Right now I am a measureaholic. I measure every saturday, in my kitchen of all places in my undies and bra. I find inches lost to be way more satisfying than pounds lost personally because you don't know exactly what you have lost.
If you are losing inches then you are losing fat and building muscle in it's place *if you are exercising ;p*. To me this means more as I can't wait to be a size 12, I don't really care so much anymore about the number on the scale. A ballpark figure yes, but not so strictly a specific number.

after almost 5 months on Atkins and over 63 lbs down! Watch for updates!

Re: How often do you weigh in?
Once a day, and I record new lows in Fitday as they appear - so I could be two or three pounds heavier than my claimed weight - but hardly ever more. I reckon most of that fluctuating weight will be water and "disposable mass" and not fat.
Shape changes on a steady weight are harder to assess, as you swap muscle for fat.Atkins didn't say 'Calories don't count',
he said, 'Don't count calories.'
