Family is planning lunch at Onami's a sushi resaurant! (glad I'm working... not a sushi fan...)
Potluck at church today was yummy with lots of legal foods...
Dinner tonight is tacos for everyone, but taco salad for me! Sounds delish!

Well, it's obvious to me that you don't go to a Southern Baptist church in the South! We had our all-church picnic last week, and the only thing legal was some stuff I brought. Heavy on the fried chicken, potato salad, baked mac & cheese, baked beans--you get the idea. I always take my own stuff, cause even the deviled eggs are likely to have sugar in them down here.

People who say it can't be done, should not interrupt those doing it.

Julirama-mmmm pumpkin and pecans sound sooo good. Makes me think of walking around outside just after the sun sets and your nose gets just a tad cold in the beginning of fall. Are the leaves turning colors up there yet? Here in FL it's nasty, hot and very humid and rumors of hurricanes nearby.

Unfortunetly I have to work on the night Labor Day, so I don't think we're having a huge celebration. I may grill some hot dogs and burgers on our indoor George Formen grill because it's too nasty to do it outside. The kids love it when I grill inside anyways, they get to "help"!

Re: Celebrate Labor Day the Atkins Way!

Last Labor Day I wasn't quite at the grains rung yet so I just skipped the meal part of the day all together. Now that I've been maintaining for 10 months I plan on having a grilled chicken breast on a whole wheat bun, a large garden salad with full fat ranch dressing and for dessert I'll be having my own crustless strawberry cream pie. 40g investment of my daily 90-100g carb limit, but so well worth it to celebrate the day of the worker

            Happy Labor Day !

Well, we're going to a friends house so I am bringing my own turkey legs, you cover them with mayo then apply a coating of seasoning consisting of splenda, pepper, salt, paprika and garlic powder. Grill 1.5 hours! yum! I am going to bring a bag of frozen veggies in case they don't have sides good enough for me......and vodka of course, hehe
