Well, the year is almost over and a lot of us have come a long way... so congratulations to everyone that has met their goals OR are on track to doing so.
I'm finally starting to see the new me when I look in the mirror, not just the blob I once was. Wearing a size 36 pant and XL shirts that are getting loose is just a great feeling. I've been trying on suit jackets and 46 fits pretty well, but, a little short in the sleeves. The last time I tried on a jacket I was lucky to get into anything in the 50s. I've not purchased one for so long as I could not afford the "custom" sizes or one made just for me. More holes have been punched in the belt. When I reach my goal I may retire it and keep it as a reminder of where I once was.
I'm only 20 pounds away from my big goal!
Sorry I've not been around as much recently. I've been swamped at work and by the time I get home I just zone out with some music and call my day done. Hopefully things will start to lighten up by the middle of next month. We are taking a long weekend trip to Savannah, GA to celebrate her birthday as well as my dear friend Jack's birthday.
In March, I'll be headed back up to visit my ill friend in CT and then a cruise in late May.... Hopefully I can stay away from that buffet line!
Happy Holidays to all that celebrate and to those that don't, enjoy the extra day off!

Happy holidays and have a wonderful time in Savannah. I was there in February a few years back and it was wonderful. Great city and the balmy weather is a nice respite in the winter. I remember the shop owners trying to get us to come in out of the cold. It was in the 60s that night.

) It sounds like you are planning a couple of well deserve breaks/treats. As you are very aware, planning on the cruise is the key to getting through the buffets. Especially all those decadent desserts they serve everywhere. Just wear the same belt and give it a Tug every time you're tempted.... that might help give you some restraint.
