  • New to the A diet and to the board...

I just want to say hello to all. My name is Michele and I am now into my 4th day of my induction. I am 107 pounds over my ideal weight. I will be turning 40 in Ocotber. I happened across this board and I am so glad I did. I really had so many reservations about this diet for so long. I am a nurse and I have had it ingrained into me that you could only lose weight by calories consumed vs. calories burned. I have been over weight most of my life. I have lost a lot of weight before on reduced cals. and a lot of exercise. I slowly gained it all back .
I did a lot of reading on the board and you all have truely got me convined that it can be done. I do need a lot of help and encouragement though. I would love to hear from anyone. Thanks!

If you stick to the diet you probably will wind up consuming less calories than before (most people have no idea the amount of cals they consume).
You should feel less hungry and not need to snack as much.

      Welcome Aboard!

Your best chance of success is to stick around & ask lots of questions!

Thank you for the welcomes . I have really noticed that I am not hungry anymore. I really don't have a desire to snack either. This diet is a little different than what I am used to. Didn't do very well on those. If I had a lump on my head for everytime I fell off the diet wagon, people would call me lumpy! With a lot of support from the board I am sure this will work.
