  • just saying hi

    started the atkins eating plan 4 weeks ago
    and feel great
    but im not loseing weight
    so im still on the introduction phase
    gave up caffine.......and carbs.........
    but on the positive side its helped with other factors ive had for years

    ok typical day

    gallons of water

    3 eggs scrambled .2 slices of bacon


    tea

    lettuce
    mayo
    either 4 slices of bacon

    or big slice of frying steak

    snacks
    lettuce and mayo

    am i doing it wrong

    any words of advice would be welcome


    ps i work shifts so i tend to eat at funny hours

    HI liverlady! Interesting name btw.

    Welcome to the ADBB!

    You should post your menu in the menu forum for help with that, also the induction forum you will find lots of helpful folks over there!

      welcome to the board.

      Have you gotten hold of a copy of Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution 2002 edition? that will help you understand the workings of the program and why it is important to be eatting other veggies from the list too for those vital nutrients they contain.

      great job on the water how is your mandatory exercise program going? The new 6 week exercise challenge known as 6WEC here is signing up now for a SUnday start.

      Check out the induction forum for some great advice on how to be eating your induction foods to maximize your losing.

      You didn't say how much you were planning to lose or if you had a cleran 14 day induction but 0 pounds for the 14 days puts you in the metabolically resistant catagory and chapter 20 is for you.

        Welcome, glad to have you join us. I agree with the words of advice from 2BIG. Hang in there, check your menu, exercise, drink water and most important READ THE BOOK. I've had times of no-loss of inches and pounds, but if you hang in there and do it like the doctor prescribed, then it will happen. I never would have believed I could lose as much as I have, but now I am a true believer!!

            o thanks for saying hi i was a bit nervous about introduceing myself
            well i realised i was cheating .......
            i still used low fat salad cream n stuff .........anyhows
            ive gone to original plan in book
            and guess what
            i jumped on the scales and im converted

            i lurve atkins
            ive noticed a lot of things have happened in last few weeks
            mood swings stopped
            no pmt bingeing
            and i have energy .....(even did a bit of housework )
