In January of 2004, I went on the Atkins Diet and lost over thirty pounds, reaching my lowest weight of my adult life at 172. Like many others, I eventually slipped back into my old eating habits, and by August of this year, I had ballooned up to an embarrassing 215.
I'd be lying if I said the main reason I was here was concern for my health, because, honestly, I'm going back on Atkins because I know how good I looked when I was eating well. Yes, my health and general well-being should be my top priorities, and they are certainly up there on the list, but in all actuality, the fact that I'm a 20 year-old college student makes vanity a driving force behind my desire to lose weight.
I remember my first go-round, I found this forum extremely helpful; most people I know are horribly misinformed about Atkins and try to dissuade me from this lifestyle, although I know that the Atkins WOL makes me look and, more importantly, feel better. I truly believe having the support of this board helped me lose the weight in the first place, and hope to have y'all backing me this second time around.
