Just wanted to introduce myself after lurking for a while. I did Atkins about 2 years ago and only lasted 8 days. This time, I have read the book and since then, i have learned a lot about cooking. Therefore, this time I will start with more knowledge and that will keep me going.
I also had a baby almost 10 months ago and I am still nursing. I want to stop nursing by 12-1-05 but, I am torn between having to give my child formula for a month (I have a months worth of milk stored). While nursing, I have been out of control with my eating habits. I go to the store on a daily basis to get brownies and cookies and diet sodas. I am heavier now than I was three months after giving birth (10 lbs). However, I was overweight before I got pregnant. Ultimately I would like to lose 50 pounds.
If I do not completely stop nursing by 12-1, then I would like to do 60 carbs a day. I read in the book that less than 50 is ketosis. I would also only nurse at night. So.... this time is for real and I am excited and looking foward to becoming healthy because right now, I am on the road to destruction.
