Just thought I would say hi! I tried Adkins this same time last year and a couple of times during the year but never made it past my first week. I have ZERO family support (everyone tries to get me to eat EVERYTHING) so this time I decided to join the forum and let you guys be my support group!I looked through the before/after pics and many truly gave me hope and inspiration!
I weighed in this morning at 267# and I am 6'2". I used to look pretty good at 205# for my frame, so that is my target weight. I want to be able to comfortably dress nice again instead of wearing sweat pants and tshirts all the time.
Hardest thing I think for me is going to be getting enough water and cutting out the caffeine. Water before never touches my mouth except when brushing my teeth, but I got a couple of cases of bottled water and already on my second one today. In the past it was mostly tea and Diet Cherry Pepsi (of Dr. Pepper if they were out) that I drank. I am anticipating some wicked caffeine withdrawals!
I know if I can just get through induction I can do it!
