  • Hey!

Hey, I'm Kate, 17 from London, England! I've been doing the induction diet for aweek now, I started last Monday, and have been finding it really difficult - I love bread, pasta and potatoes- before that was all my diet consisted of! So I was just wondering, what do you guys actually eat? Because I've been living off cheese and eggs, which can't be that good for you because I've read you're only meant to eat eggs twice a week!
I'm hoping to loose about about 1 1/2 stone by the 2nd march (my 18th birthday!) which I know isn't gonna happen, but I still wanna think it anyway! I've lost four pounds in the last week so if we go by 3 or 4 pounds every week until then it means I should loose around a stone. (But I'm not too good at maths so I could be wrong)
So...hey! And good luck to everyone loosing weight too!
Any words of encouragement would be great!!

    Re: Hey!

Hello and Welcome. Its always nice to see fellow Brits joining us.

Congrats on starting the Diet. I have attached some links below which will explain Induction to you and will show you exactly what you can and cant eat. It would really help you if you were to buy a copy of Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution (2002 version) It has an orange cover (in this country) and can be found in all book shops.

Anyway, here are the links of the foods you can eat on Induction and instructions.....

I have since re-gained a bit of weight, but that is soon to be coming off again!

I've read the book, it's just most of the stuff in it sounds a bit horrible! Thanks for that though

What did you think sounded horrible? As its generally just standard food?
(have you taken a look at the legal food list?)

Well, horrible to cook!!! I can't cook to save my life (even though I work in a restaurant!!) so usually I had toast for breakfast, a sandwich or jacket potato for lunch, and pasta or some carb-based meal for dinner! So it's a big lifestyle change.

Very true to it being a lifestyle change.

            But its definitely worth it

I've lost almost 5 stone because of it.

            Good luck.

I started in November 2003. Still going, but not really losing weight anymore to be honest.
