Hello people, its time i share "my story"

in 2001 i was 315 pounds and 19 years old. My dad a doctor put me on a super low cal diet after some scary panick attacks. Long story short in 7 months i dropped 95 pounds. And suffered for every pound lost. I kept at that weight for one year. by 2003 i was 285 again.3 weeks ago i sat at 360 :-(

TOday after 2.7 weeks of atkins i am 338, so im making progress. And i have sworn to myself to stick to atkins. I was down to 322 a few months ago but had gained it all back when i fell off the wagon. I am a young newly married business owner and have alot to live for. Everyone who knows and loves me wants me to lose formy health. I do too.

This is my story and my struggle. Herse an example of a daily diet.
Breakfast an advantage shake, or bar.

Lunch either a ribeye and salad or wings and an omelette.

Dinner everynight is 2 low carb tortila pizzas with onion and pepperoni. Nice and crispy. This is my staple every night.

    Jut wanted to share.
    Yours in christ

welcome to ADBB and to Atkins. congrats on your great start.

got to ask where are your veggies at every meal? 3 cups a day is the Atkins way. got to fuel the shane machine with the proper Atkins mix so you aren't running too rich or too lean like cars that need super do with regular or premium refuelings.

Also what you doing for the mandatory exercise part of your Atkins? we have several open ended open enrollment challenges you can join to help you on your joureny to twoerville.

          Re: On a journey

Funny you should mention that as i am an ASE master certified auto tech and own a 4 bay repair facility. I am eating a salad with evey lunch. Thats all i can manage to do, unless i put salad o my dinner pizzas.

I am a creature of habit. I lost 100 pounds years ago by eatng the same thing every day. Took the thinking away and just became life, hopefully after i lose more i can expore more and such as i do plan on this being a lifestyle.

And on the exercise... 20 min 5 times a week on recumbant bike on hill program ... me and that bike allready have 100 pounds of lost fat history..
I cant believe sometimes i gained it all back plus some.

          Thanks for your encouragement everyone

but we want you to keep it off this time , so start now laying a solid foundation for your life long House of Atkins eating that will not crash down around you again when you do get there. practice eating healthy Atkins style with those 3 cups and yep you can have veggies on your pizza, mushrooms, tomatoes, peppers and/or onions are very common pizza toppings.

I don't know if our biking challenge still has any memebers active in it but check it out in the exercise challenge forum.

Hey Dustman...Glad to have you at the ADBB. I started around the same time as you and weighed in about the same as you too. We're in this together. I know what you mean about being a creature of habit. My dad lost over 100 pounds on Atkins eating the SAME thing every day and he's kept it off now for several years (and still eating the same things.) lol You can do this! Happy Losing! Oh, and congrats on your loss so far.

              Enjoying the Journey,

hey guys still here, havent cheated a single time and am floating at around 334 after 1 month.

Hopefully i can maintain a good solid 3-4 pound a week loss during the next couple months in extended induction.

Just popping in here to say im still going strong. If im posting here im still doing good.I have been tempted to break for a meal to do the cyclical deal, but thats not atkins and is just an excuse. Ill be posting every couple weeks..

Man.....(sighs) I know how rough gaining back weight can be. I have done it several times.

You are doing really good at losing weight again. 22 lbs is great progress. Congratulations on the business and finding the love of your life!
