    plain water not sugar water. there is a reason sweetner servings are limited to 3 a day and if you look on the water bottle a serving is only 8 ounces so if you have 24 ounces you have used up your full day alotment already.

    you want to use the 14 days of induction to retrain your tastebuds and mind. Kill your sweettoth and to learn the sweetness of the veggies and meats you are eating. you are going to be surprised at the end of the 14 days.

    where in chapter 11 acceptable foods lists are those bars again???? emergency use only and if you can buy them you can buy other foods to use instead like a pouch of tuna or other meat and some bagged salad, and a packet of dressing and poof you got a to go Atkins safe meal. if you don't have one get one of those insulated lunch bags and fix lunch the night before so you always have time fo take it with you.

      Instead of Splenda in your water, try plain water with a slice of cucumber in it. Lately, I've been putting cucumber slices and lemon slices in a pitcher of water a day and then that's what I drink all day. Nothing else.

      I know it's a lot to take in, but it's worth it.

        I am happy to cut out the hotdogs, bars ect. I will have some what of a problem drinking all of the plain water, but it will be worth it. I was only eating those foods becasue I thought I could. I am taking that advice of one of you and Re Reading chapter 11. This is sooooooo helpful. I really feel re-fueled now that I know I was making mistakes. I will do WHATEVER it takes!

          good for you remember very few of us started out loving water as our drink of choice. it will grow on you really says the former 24 can aday Diet Coke drinker.

            Here is how your wednesday diet sums up as I entered it in www.fitday.com for you (mind you it may be a tad off due to not knowing the type or length hotdogs, egg sizes, volume of lettuce or whether the ham or cheese were processed, etc.)
            It is definately needing improvements. You want 70% Fat 30% Protien and 5% carbs during induction.

            Total: 1898 cal

            Sat: 65 587 31%
            Poly: 28 254 13%
            Mono: 62 556 30%
            Carbs: 22 70 4%+ add the catsup & Atkins bar (not in fitday)~ 4 net carbs = 26

            If you have cured or processed meats and cheeses, you will be adding carbs as well as chemicals that hold water on you.
            If you eat/drink things sweetened, you may have more cravings and eat larger portions, or have weightloss stall from the chemicaIf possible you want nearly all of your allowed 20 net carbs to come from vegetables, preferably not lettuce as it has little fiber or nutrient value; carbs from fiber do not count in the allowance, so eat all your veggies, and mix 'em up, every day.
            Drink up that water!
            And lastly, no more Atkins bars during induction! Read the label - you will find no-no's like grain, bean and nut flour.

              Thanks you for doing that. I am so glad I posted this, becasue I WANT to do it right! I am very commited, and to see weight gain is so devastating. I will heed the advice of you experts and will see what next Friday brings! I will also post my menu for feedback and tweeking!!!! YOu are all so awesome I wish I could give you all a big hug of gratitude!

                I agree the Processed foods in your Diet may very well be keeping you from losing. The Bar is a Known staller not only is it filled with preservatives it's not a natural food and can cause bloat and water retention. The ham could very well be sugar laden as a lot of Processed meats are. ham can be a very big culprit of not losing weight it can also have a lot of salt in it which will give you a false reading of gaining weight. Hotdogs are also high in preserves and salt and are not a good choice. Go for real meats like chicken, pork, steak, fish ditch the processed stuff. The low carb Ketchup is fiull of preserves and can cause stalls and no weight loss.

                You need to Drink more water I see very little of it in your Diet you need to be drinking 8 cups plus 1 cup for eveyy 25 lbs you are overweight. you may also want to limit your intake of sweetened beverages cause this can also cause problems there are those who ahve given up pop and such to see a loss.

                Your cheese you may be over consuming your cheese 1 oz of cheese is roughly the size of your finger and 1/4 cup is probably too much cheese for your induction.

                Please pick up a copy of DANDER if you don't already ahve one and read up on what you need to do,

                Veggies are very important part of this WOE and we need to have those.

                I sure hope that helps you out a BIT I think the BIGGEST factor in you not losing weight is the AMOUNT of bars you are having If I read it right you had like 4 in one day is that right maybe I read it wrong but, if you cut the bars I bet you will lose weight. Have some handy snacks with you at all time like beef jerky, Hard Boiled Eggs. Lettuce placed in ready bags cheese chooped in cubes, and cans of tuna and a can opener in your Vehicle. You won't have to worry so much about eating on the fly and will ahve stuff on hand at all time.

                Be prepared for anything I have a little kit in the back of my truck stocked with tuna, almonds, beef jerky, pork rhinds and 4 bottles of water just in case.

                It'll work try that for a week and see what Happens we are all here for you

                      I would stop the bars... I knwo for me the diet sodas and the bars is what made me gain a few lbs I am just now started to loose some more and is been about 2 days afyter I dranked or ate my last bar!

                        Yep, those bars can sure stall ya. (But arent they good!) You'll get to have them again, later. I keep black olives on hand as well as pepperonies (they make wonderful nachos when baked or nuked). Best wishes!!
