      Welcome to ADBB. You'll find lots of help, encouragment and friends here to share your journey. We have lots of forums with information on health, life, recipes and exercise just to name a few.

      I've been doing Atkins for 2+ years and its the best thing I've ever done. The best advice I can give you is to make a plan to make it happen. Write out your goals, measurements, and reasons you want to lose the weight....then change your unhealthy habits into positive actions. Come here often to the ADBB and surround yourself with people who are doing it. This is the best support group you'll find for encouragement and information on succeeding.

        How exciting!!! You're going to do great and you couldn't have come to a better place... The people and information is the best!!!
        I started around the same weight as you... if I can do it anyone can!!!

        Started Atkins on December 8th, 2005

        Officially Re-Focusing on 12-28-09.

        Was, Am, Will be: 280/222/175ish.
        Started Dec 2005 and lost 105 lbs by mid 2006, maintained loss for the most part until 2009...then really let go & gained some back... lol

        so:
        Restart Progress:
        12/28/09 ~ 235.1
        01/04/10 ~ 229.0
        01/11/10 ~ 229.0 Grrrrr....
        (Induction= only 6lbs but lost 10 inches! yay)
        01/18/10 ~ 227.4
        01/5/10 ~ 226.8
        02/01/10 ~ 222.6

                Like you I started at over 280 pounds and now 3 years or so later I am half the woman I was!

                If I can do it so can you with the help and support of all the pay-it-forward members here
