  • 5th Day...

    My name is Cara. I've done Atkins a few times now but never seem to stick with it for more then a month. I see the results but for some reason or another I quit, just when I really get going I am bound and determined to make it to my goal weight of 160 this time around. Today I'm weighing in at 195. I'm 5 ft 7 in tall and most of my weight is distributed evenly, in fact, most people say I don't look 195 but I FEEL 195!!! My youngest is now 6 yrs old so there's no more "I just had a baby excuse" I've been reading these threads for a few days now to get some inspiration and it really works. I'm going to start incorporating more exercise now that I'm five days into it, really that's the key to losing the weight. THAT'S ME WALKING!!!
    Just happy to be here knowing there's someone else out there trying too.

    Your gonna make it girl. Keep your eye on the prize and you will succeed. People alwayes trip when i tell them how much i weigh because i also distribute evenly. I am still FAT though. LOL Not for much longer. Keep it up and good luck.

        Great that you decided to join us here at ADBB. Everyone is amazingly supportive and willing to help with any problems or answer queries. You can do this! You're off to a good start with the decision to exercise. That's so important to weight loss.

          Hi Cara. Glad to have you join us. I believe that getting involved in the forums and meeting others who are making it happen will be a great help to keep you motivated. I know it was for me. There's lots of information, challenges, journals and friends here who will make your new WOE enjoyable. Welcome and please keep us posted on how your doing.

            Well, it looks like you and I have a lot in common. My youngest is 9 and I too have been using the baby fat excuse for some time now. I guess those days are over! I am 5'8" and my starting weight was 206.5. People don't ever beleive it if I tell them how much I weigh. I am an avid swimmer and very muscular..who knows??? I am on my 6th day of induction and I am down 9.5 which is thrilling to me...my goal is 170. I would love to be thinner but I think that is a weight that will be easy to maintain without killing myself. Nice to meet you. Goodluck.
