Hi, my name is Michelle. Myself and a friend started Adkins on 1/3/2007. Im trying to lose some weight before the summer starts. I did my research before I started bought the book and read alot of posts on this website so I thought I was fully prepared. My current weight as of this morning is 138 my goal weight is 120. Well I'm getting kind of scared because I actually gained weight
!! I have been following the diet and haven't cheated. I'm getting a little discouraged because normally I would never be consuming all these calories and eating this much fat, the main reason I chose this diet is because I was tired of starving myself and counting calories and eating rabbit food. What should I do, is this normal? I want to continue on Atkins but I'm afraid of gaining not losing weight. Any advice would or reassurance would greatly be appreciated. BTW this site is awesome and all the success stories is what inspired me.

Also, was that 2700 calorie day correct? Did you get a chance to check out the calculator that sillygirl linked to? That might be really helpful to you!
