    I AM READING THE BOOK. I DID ATKINS BEFORE AND LOST 40 POUNDS JUST FOLLOWING THE WEBSITE BUT I WENT BACK TO MY OLD WAYS AND PUT ON ABOUT 65 POUNDS NOW. THIS TIME I AM READING THE BOOK. I TURN 30 IN JULY. I HAVE TO LOSE A TOTAL OF 80 POUNDS TO REACH MY GOAL WEIGHT. I WOULD LIKE TO TRY TO LOSE 50 BY JULY ( IS THIS UNREALISTIC). i WILL BE DRINKING A LOTTTT OF WATER AND PLAN NOT TO CHEAT AT ALL. I WILL ALSO BE EXERCISING EVERYDAY ( MAYBE 1 DAY OFF) . I HAVE A HUGE EVENT TO GO TO MEMORIAL DAY SO I HOPE TO LOSE A LOT BY THEN AS WELL.

    I AM GOING TO REACH MY GOAL WEIGHT, PLEASE HELP ME JUST TO STAY ON TRACK. I WANT TO DO THIS SO BADLY SO I KNOW I WILL STICK TO IT. TOMORROW IS DAY 1 FOR ME.
    IS THERE ANYONE I CAN BE ACCOUNTABLE TO BY EMAIL DAILY OR WEEKLY PLEASE

    Hello there Malaika! Welcome!

    Sounds like you're very motivated and determined to reach your goal this time around. That's great.
    If you like, you could stop by the Second Time Around Forum. There are plenty of people there who've fallen off the wagon before and got up, dusted themselves off and hopped back on again. Many have then gone on to reach goal. You'll find lots of support and empathy from the members there, I'm sure.

      Hi malaika! I'm a proud STAC member, and I'm here to say that it can be done! My first time through I didn't read the book, didn't follow the rules, and ended up gaining back ALL 70 pounds I'd lost, plus 15 or 20 more. But I'm back, on track, doing it by the book, and really working the plan.

      I'm glad to hear a strong commitment to exercise! Exercise is crucial to a healthy and fit body. There are lots of challenges on the board to keep you motivated and challenged. I always do the monthly mileage challenges. This month my goal is 150 miles biking and running. There are other challenges like climbing flights, abs challenge, calories burned challenge, etc. Check them out!

      Stop on by the daily check-in thread, or post an introduction in the STAC forum. Scooterjam and Outback Jess should be along to issue you a warm welcome!

            Good Morning Malaika! (What a pretty name!!)

            No worries, no worries at all! Sounds like you've already got things set in your mind to succeed this time!! Hey, why don't your come on over to the Second Time Around Forum, we have a daily roll-call, you can list your goals, talk about temptation, talk about frustration, talk about success (uh) sation....anyway...nevermind. haha! If you need a shoulder to lean on from time to time, we're there!

            I'd like to give you a few tools that might help this time around, I see you've got your book and already reading...(good for you!!)

            For some killer recipes (not all are induction friendly but the ones marked (*) are, go here.. http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/index.html

            Use www.fitday.com (free online service) to log in all the daily food intake, you can adjust carb amounts, see where your eating too many, or too few, monthyly nutritional analysis, etc.

            www.tickerfactory.com is how you set up your little goal icon at the bottom of your screen. Sweet!! copy and paste the (BB Posting text)..
