    Welcome to the board. I agree that Reading the book is the best place to start and getting everything in your mind so that it is clear, planning ahead is also very important and stocking up on things that you can have on your WOE- way of eating. Don't weigh yourself too often though make it once a week to begin with as you can downhearten yourself if the scales don't show that you are losing every day. Great support to be found here in the forum, there are quite a few of us from UK, but even if there weren't the support from all the guys and gals is brilliant!

      Hi Helen, Thank you. I was in St Andrews some weeks ago, lovely lovely lovely!
      • Start Weight = 72.6 kg / 160 lbs
      • Goal Weight = 50 kg / 110 lbs
      • Current Weight = 58 kg / 128 lbs
      • mini goal = 54 kg / 119 lbs

        Hi Mrs Minnie! Welcome to the board. It's great you're re-reading the book! Of course you don't need to follow the recipes in there! Check out the sites Scooter mentioned, you will find so many recipes for really yummy stuff!

          Start weight: 103.6 kg (227.92 lbs)
          Goal weight: 80 kg (176 lbs)
          Now weighing in at ...... 95.6kg (210.32)
          Total loss = 8 kg (17.6 lbs)

            Hi, thanks for the welcome messages everyone.

            I'm getting along ok (i hope). I intend to weigh myself at the end of the week but at the moment I am following the recipes and when I am not able to, I have just gone for the easy option - greek salad - or just fried steak or egg.

            Hopefully I will see a change even if it is a small one.
