    Hello all,

    My boyfriend and I have started the atkins diet together as motivation to each other. In only a few days the progress has been amazing. Already he has dropped 10 1bs and I 5 lbs. I am pleased to say that this site it what motivated me to try again. I did this diet or WOE a long time ago and was successful for a while but never actually changed the way I eat. I can't believe the difference I already feel and to think I could have been feeling this so long ago Anyways just glad that I can be a part of this site there are so many good hearted people.       Welcome to the team. That's great you have some one to do this WOE with, it should make things easier, especially early on. Things will go great-Good Luck.

      What I know:
      1-Atkins WOE/WOL plan works
      2-I need to always work on the behaviors and triggers that make me over eat.
      3-Atkins WOL is part of the puzzle, but is not the entire thing.
      4-Self-deprecation only feeds our inner ego and not in a good way.

        Welcome. So glad you and bf are doing this together....its so much easier to have someone to share the meals, exercise and motivational conversations with. Best wishes to both of you. Have you read the book>? Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution, edition 2002?? Its a great read to know and understand exactly how the program works.

          It's cool that you're doing this together. It really makes a difference if you can share experiences, difficulties and successes, not to mention the practical advantages of two doing Atkins together! Congratulations on your combined total of 15lbs lost for good!

              Welcome diet42plz! I just started myself, and am on day 3 of induction. So, while I can't offer advice or tips, I can certainly tell you I'm glad to have other people to share my upcoming success with and hear yours as well.

                Thanks for all the support everyone. I really appreciate it. quick question though how do you do the graphics and weights goals that other have posted on their threads. Yes I have read the book. It answered most the questions i had before doin the diet.

                  Glad to see you aboard our Losers Train... You will find a lot of support here and answers to all you questions.. Somebody always knows.... I have found that it's easier to stay focused when I come to the board, read and post. I have found some wonderful buddies to help me through.

                  Let us know how you are doing...

                  Under the Forums find "Testing and technical questions" and it will tell you how to add pretty much anything...

                      1 week gone

                      Alright so here are the results after the first week. Woo hoo!!! I am so excited! Jay has lost 12lbs already and I 7lbs.


                      After this first week I have found that I am actually eating healthier then I was before. I am getting my correct amount of veggies and water. I am not going to eat out and in the end my body is appreciating the woe way more then before. I kinda had stopped eating veggies and replaced it with more junk food. We always would eat late at night feeling really gross in the morning etc... I feel so much better these days.
