Re: Hi there! I am FAT and New to Atkins.

Also...not that I expect to lose instantly (altho I really do (LOL)...but I haven't lost any weight at all on the the two days I was on.

Before this, I was on the NutriSystems diet. Man...that just didn't work for me. I kept gorging on the desserts and the lunches were awful. I "think" it was because altho the NS diet is low in calories...it is loaded with carbs...so I was always hungry for more. At least that is my NEW understanding of the danger of carbs.

Best of luck to you all for another winning (losing) day on Atkins.

    Nancy

Welcome aboard! 50 pounds is sooo do-able, you will be suprised at how quickly you notice a difference in the way your clothes feel and how your body reacts... Feel more awake, focused - energized Try not to pay too much attention to the scales -- for me they don't show the success that I know I am accomplishing. Just hang in there & if you have questions just ask

Re: Hi there! I am FAT and New to Atkins.

Best thing to do as far as your menu is to go over to the food forum and post it. There is a special place to put it there and people will look at it.

Also, are you using fitday.com? It is a bit tedious at first but once you get the hang of it, it is fantastic. I log my exercise, food, and a small journal there.

Re: Hi there! I am FAT and New to Atkins.

Hi all! Yesteray I RAN out and bought the atkins books. ....No wonder I wasn't losing weight like I thought I should. I was drinking way too much coffee with way too much Splenda and Cream and I was over-consuming protein without the veggies. I was also overeating cheese. Somehow I thought it was an unlimited protein/cheese/creme "affair"...so today I am on that strick 14 day induction track, hoping to do induction beyond 14 days. Just one cup of coffee today instead of 6 .....but still addicted to my Crystal Lite in my water. I think this might still be a problem for me.

Anyhow, today I finally dropped 2 pounds - I started Sunday - but then I actually gained 2 pounds the first couple of days.

                        Cheers everyone!
