    Oh no!

This is really gross but my poop is green!

I found this on the internet:
Adults can also have green poop if they eat large amounts of green, leafy vegetables or if they eat large amounts of foods with green food coloring. Green feces can also occur with diarrhea if bile salts pass through the intestine unchanged. Bile salts are substances that make up bile, which is a fluid produced by the liver that help digest fat. The liver is the largest organ in the body and is responsible for filtering (removing) harmful chemical substances, producing important chemicals for the body, and other important functions.

Hopefully it is just from eating all that lettuce. But I think it is more likely to be diarrhea. That would explain the dehydration(yellow pee).
Last week when I tried Atkins and quit I had a similar experience.

Have you heard of this symptom before during induction?

      Re: Wish me luck

I know I went through a lot of weird stuff on induction. I had fever, sneezing and aches and pains not associated with my fibromyalgia. I also dumped a lot of water when I stopped eating so many carbs. I also kinda got a lot of gas and had a little bit of diarrhea but by the time you get closer to the end of induction, your body will be better adjusted. It is most likely just trying to get itself in control.

        Re: Wish me luck

I think all the strange symptoms are normal now for induction. That eases my mind.
I woke up today feeling pretty normal. Excited to feel normal.
My biggest question is do you have deep yellow pee or is your pee fairly clear?
How many litres of water do you usually drink?
I am just hoping that Atkins doesn't cause long term dehydration. I don't know how it could, I just hope it doesn't.
        Thank alot!! Goodluck to you.

          Hey Sungju,

I noticed that my urine was pretty yellow at first too (i remember thinking how can this be with all the water Im taking in)...and it didnt seem like my output was big enough for all my imput (of water)... and I was drinking tons of water...then a day or so later my urine started running pretty clear, and has stayed that way ever since. I think its pretty normal...prob your body dumping all the toxins, or glucose or something. I really dont know the reason..just know that it happened to me too.

Oh, well that's really good to know. Because as of today it is pretty normal. Very happy about that.

Things are really good today. I ate a big breakfast. Gonna go for a light run soon.

            Thanks alot Jammie!

              Jammie,
I checked out your myspace pic. Is that your daughter? She looks adorable. I am 30 years old and haven't had any kids yet. Gotta work on that soon.
