Hello my name is Katie and I am a 46yr old mother of 3 and grandmother of 1. I have been married for almost 26yrs, grew up in Northern California and am now living in North Central Florida.
I have struggled
with my weight ever since I was 10 yrs old. I did an extreme diet when I was 18 and lost 50lbs in a months eating watermelon and living at the gym. I kept the weight off for 2 years and then got married and got pregnant and my weight got higher and higher with each pregnancy.
I have tried so many different diets in my lifetime having the most success with Weight Watchers when I stuck with the program, my problem is that I get tired of "dieting", and then the pounds return quickly and I end up weighing more than I did when I started the last diet. After turning 40 the weight just doesn't seem to budge. I went back to WW in January and stayed on plan for 4 months and only lost 2 lbs
. I have to find and try something else.
I searched the internet for something different, and had decided I wasn't going to pay for anymore diets or pills. I had many preconceived notions about Atkins until I stumbled across this board and went out and bought the book. I was so wrong
about what I thought Atkins was. It is a way of living not a diet.
I decided a week ago to clean out my kitchen and take control of my life
. I have alot of weight to lose, and will be coming here often for suppport and advice.
Thanks for reading.
