Re: Day one of Induction (yikes!)

Hey everyone!! Day six and feeling great!! I keep sneakily weighing myself and it's looking good!! I've told my sister she MUST hide the scales now until end of induction!!

In response to Lacey and Ozlover, I am taking a multivitamin every day, I'm not sure if it is adaquate, though... And I was quite concerned the other day when my right arm was aching so much in bed, very uncomfortable. But I have been drinking SO much water, and I feel great for it. I'm not hungry any more, and I do have to remind myself to eat! How fantastic is that?! xx

Hello, can't be long as I have to get ready for work, but I've lost five pounds in one week!! I'm so pleased! I've never achieved this on any 'low-fat' diet/plan. I'm even more determined to carry on now. SO happy xxx

I think I know what you mean, I have chosen a weight now that I think I would be happy at, I was at the time and I know it was a much healthier weight for my frame. I'm only four foot eleven so I don't think that has ever helped!!

I'm so excited that I have finally started, it's strange that I have never been so excited about changing the way I eat, but this just feels right! xxx
I am vertically challenged as well (4 11 and 3/4..haha). Beware the first 3 days can be just miserable. So be prepared and know that in a few days you are going to feel amazing. I chose my goal because it was only 10 lb above a weight that I had when I was much younger.. I accounted for my age a little , based on no particular science lol, and I think it's a weight I can be comfortable at and maintain. I don't want to be too thin either. I think being too thin is just as unattractive as being grossly overweight.

goal picking... i have once gotten to 190 lbs, that put me in a size 14, i picked my goal of 175 because i want to be a size 12, not too small not too big.. if you look at the charts my ht (5'8") and bone structure (med) my goal should be 145-160 but i feel that would be just too small for me.. however, when i get to my goal i may re-evaluate hope that helps some

Welcome, Barbie! Since you are drinking so much water and have lost a lot of weight, you should probably supplement potassium and magnesium. They are washed out by the intake of a lot of fluids at the same time as you are losing a lot of water weight. Getting your electrolytes back in balance will stop the muscle aches and cramps. Also, magnesium will help keep your bowels regular.

You are doing great! Good luck on the rest of your journey!
