Update! I started on 9/5/08 at 258.8 today I weigh 245! Feel great too.
A couple of things I noticed:
- I find myself having to remember to eat? and lately I have only been eating once a day. Either lunch or just dinner.
- I just started taking a "equate" brand Walmart 1 a day for men and it has made a difference in my mornings. Before the vitamin I found myself dragging more than usual in the AM.
- I bought keotone strips at Walmart. They came 50 in a package and I have been checking my keotones every morning. For the last 5 days the color has turned dark,dark purple each AM.
- I made a fantastic (I hope Atkins friendly) meal last night:
Buffalo Chicken Sausage, all natural with 1 carb per link. No sugars or illegal ingredients. They taste like someone took a buffalo wing, ground it up and stuffed it into a sausage casing. With ultimate bleu cheese dressing its FANTASTIC!
I made two sides with my sausages. One was Broccoli Rachini (sp) kind of a combination of really tiny broccoli heads with lots of leafy green. Has a bitter sweet taste. Chopped off the stems. Thru them in a pot of boiling water for about 6 minutes, drained water, thru greens into a wok with extra virgin olive oil, and fresh chopped garlic,
Second side was sliced baby portabella mushrooms. I carefully wiped the mushrooms with a wet towel (you should not wash mushrooms under water as they absorb water and become mushy in the frying pan) sliced the mushroom into thin slices and then sauteed them with a small sliced onion and a beef bullion cube. These two sides really help break the boredom of meat, chicken, pork, eggs.
So far so good! I only have 55 pounds to my goal weight (195)
My mini-goal for October first is to be under 240. I do not care if its 239.9! I just want to start the month of October under 240.
