    Hello everyone. My name is Danielle and I started the Atkins diet on 10/13/08. My goal is to be back to what I used to weigh a few years ago between 150 - 155. So far, I started at 250 and today I weigh in at 235. The first couple of weeks seemed to go pretty good. Maybe it was because I was seeing my weight drop?
    But I seem to be struggling a bit with not eating consistently.
    I have never really been a person to have 3 meals a day. I used to eat maybe once or twice a day. This site gives me hope and it keeps me motivating to keep going. Thank you all for a chance to get my life back on track

    You have done well for yourself already.
    Keep working on those regular meals. They are important.

      Dr. Atkins says to not go any longer than 6 waking hours without eating in order to keep your blood sugar level on an even keel. That will minimize cravings for things you shouldn't eat and help keep you feeling full. It doesn't have to be a full meal, just a snack of a few ozs. of cheese or a hard boiled egg. That way you won't be tempted to eat off plan. Getting rid of the frankenfoods aroung your house also helps. You're doing great so keep it up!
