  • New member getting ready to start Atkins a 2nd time

    my name is Tony and i was doing atkins a few years ago. while i did lose 30 pounds i strayed and have now gained it all back. i think where i went wrong was i was doing atkins the same time i started my cigarette quit. after smoking for 20 years of which the last 3 i smoked 3-4 packs a day, you can imagine that was a stressfull time for me. i've been done with cigarettes for going on 30 months so i think it's time to "back the food tray up" as my wife likes to say. i plan to reread the book this weekend and get started next weekend, or maybe even monday if i can get myself in gear.

    a little about me, i'm a 36 year old male, 5'8" broad build and currently 248. my goal is to get down to 200 and maintain with a steady weight lifting regimen. i might decide to post some before pics when i get the ball rolling.

    Welcome aboard! I too lift weights, and I have to say I feel like a new man. Exercise as much as possible. Use Fitday to track your food and exercise. I also suggest a food scale. TRUST ME, we eat more than we think! Oh yeah..... hide the scale. THe last thing you need is to hop on that thing daily. Good luck and Happy New Year!
