    hi everyone! been reading the forums for about a week, getting ready to start induction tomorrow.

    i have the book, yet it's lost in my apartment. (you don't even want to know about the messy state of my apartment! that's another thing to work on in the new year..)

    i'm scared, to be honest. i've put on this weight from junk food, but when i'm not eating crap i eat very healthy: mostly vegetarian, whole grains, tons of fruit and veggies. but even when i cut out the junk food i'm just not losing... i figured i'd give atkins another shot, even if it means eating a lot more meat. (confession: i have failed two times before... by eating fruit. not ice cream or cookies. no, fruit... oh, and wine)

    but i'm ready to try again tomorrow and i have some questions about veggies, because i know i've eaten too many when i tried in the past. i get three cups non-starchy? or two cups salad, one cup another--like broccoli?

    i wish i knew where i put that book!

    Find your book! It has lots of great information and will help you do the introduction properly. There are also lots of great tip in the Introduction forum on this website. Good luck to you!

      Welcome to the forum!!!!

      I agree with Marie, find your book girl and dig in!!!! It will teach you how to eat this way properly and in a short period of time you will already begin to see and feel the difference.

            if i don't find it by the morning i'll have an omelette for b'fast then head to the barnes and noble... in the 20 degree weather.

            the colder it gets, the faster i'll be walking the 1.8 miles to work every day.
