    hello from Alberta.

    Hi there,

I am back to give Akins another shot. I really like the support system here. I really want to do well this time. I am 37 yrs old. I have a 7 yr old boy. I want to do this for myself, but mostly for him. I have been on blood pressure meds since I became pregnant with him. Now my doctor tells me I am border line diabetic. I really need to lose some weight. I have no energy most of the time. Its time to build me a healthier me. This morning I cleaned off my tread mill. I figured it is time to fire that baby up. My plan is to do atkins as well as take a brisk walk daily. My fridge is stocked with all the food I need for induction. My start day is today!!! Im excited because I really know that I can do this.

    Laura.
    start - 230pnds
    current - 230pnds

    Hi Laura,
    Welcome to Atkins.
I started a week ago...not quite sure, if I found eventually something that might work.

    But it works!!!
And it will work for you too. Looking forward to see us succeed!

Laura, I'm glad you made it here!

YES, you can do it. It sounds like you've already laid a good foundation in stocking your fridge and breaking out the treadmill.

          Good luck!

                Hello Desertthorn,
Thank-you for asking. Im doing good. I knew this would be difficult, but im sticking with it. I miss potatoes, bread and chips and dip. How long has it taken you to lose 20 pnds? Do you find that you have any cravings?
                Laura.
