Hi everyone!
So I thought i'd introduce myself as this is my first post..
I am 16 years old and 30+ pounds overweight. Currently I am 150 pounds at 5'3. My doctor advises me that for my age, gender, bone structure, ect.. 115 pound would be ideal. This of course, that extra 30 is at the end of a very long story. So, the short version is about 2 years ago I suffered from anorexia and dropped almost 25 in a little under a month. After that I tried self-recovery and ended up binging like crazy..which led to bulimia blah blah the usual story. Anyways my metabolism was shot to h**l and I ended up gaining to the point I was 10 pounds heavier than when I started. And to top it off I suffer with reoccuring binging..I'm sure some of you have similar experiences! So thats how I ended up here..ready to start the induction phase in a few hours! I just hope I can control my binging...
See you around!

Did you read the book (DANDR 2002)? It will help you understand how this way of eating works and why it is not a diet, but a lifelong eating plan. The first 4-5 days are pretty rough -- you might experience the so-called "induction flu" (I didn't, but it's a matter of luck) and you will be tempted by junk food or sweets. But after these first days, your appetite will be suppressed and you should feel great.
